it was not a partial dryfire. Was the loop to thick?
Can someone help.

Re: how many strands
How much speed loss if I go a 38 instead of 28 im sure I've read that its not much, possibly boo's website.
Before I got my crossbow not long ago I made a 28 strand, didnt quite know the measurements and made it a bit long although I did shoot it.

how many strands
I will be making a Flemish dacron string for my axiom.
I know my stock string is 32 strand.
How many do you suggest id like durability over speed but don't want to lose much speed.
What do you suggest.

thumbhole stock cheekpiece on a standard stock
I orded a cheekpiece for my axiom from the shop. I received it, on the packet it said for thumbhole only, still I tried it but there is no way It would go on.
I know cheek pieces are hard to get on but is this the wrong type.
Could this work?

Re: ran out of scope adjustment
Yes, I would think my new scope will have more adjustment.fergie wrote:would it not be the back he would need to shim????VixChix wrote:I had the same problem. You'll need to shim the front of the scope. A couple of layers of pop can and you'll be all set.
I just wanted to make sure I didnt have a dodgy scope.

ran out of scope adjustment
I just put an HHA on my axiom with the stock "SMF" scope I ran out of vertical adjustment, it is all the way down and hitting high by about 6 inches. Although I am up grading to a Leupold VX 1 3-9 40mm. I am Guessing that because the scope is quite different to most. (Doesnt have a speed r...

Re: longevity of an excalibur
If I possibly wanted an upgrade would the highend exo series like an exomax last better than a matrix 380 or 405.

Re: longevity of an excalibur
The Matrix series does not have as much time in the field as the original bows. Nobody can comment on it standing the test of time, it hasn't been out that long. The limbs on all the original Mag Tip bows were the same, didnt matter if it were a Phoenix or an Exomag, same limbs. I can sit and dry f...

Re: longevity of an excalibur
Seeing as most of the responses were adiment it cant break, then would people be as confident about a 405?

longevity of an excalibur
I got my first crossbow about a week ago and at around 700 shots its got me wondering are there many target shooters that shoot a lot. I chose Excalibur because of the quality. But am worried that it will show wear if I shoot this much. I know bows like the vixen and axiom will last better than an e...

Re: Leupold vx vs vxr
archerytho, I am assuming that you are Canadian, right? Customs is not the issue, you can import a scope easily into Canada without issue or paperwork, just pay GST and your good to go. I have done this many times. The problem is when a US Optic vendor recognizes your Canadian Credit Card and shipp...

Re: Leupold vx vs vxr
Thanks lucky mike about $80 shipping so $580 might not order online incase it gets caught in customs.
