I think it's the repeated shock and vibration that makes the rear lens unscrew. I noticed it on my TZ scope, with repeated shooting the flip up cover will keep rotating CCW and every few shots I have to rotate it back to vertical. The scopes are the weakest part of these crossbows, and Excalibur has them covered. For the cost of an upgrade scope, it is worth the peace of mind. Thanks for the alternatives. Unless I can borrow a buddies bow, my season is done and won't pick up again until October. I just don't want to buy another optic at this time. I am hoping warranty will cover it, but I am sure I have to pay for shipping and it won't be in time.
