Re: M380/Aging's stock & other mods. Finally!!

SEW, Could you please post a pic of the completely assembled crossbow w/ wooden stock? Gorgeous wood...what type is it and who did the work? Comparing speeds with fully modded limb set and bare limbs: the 380 limbs, etc are on the 405 right now. So put on the 405 limbs just for these pictures -&quo...

Re: Finally got to shoot my new 380

Congrats on the 380! I've been researching them for awhile, but "haven't pulled the trigger yet." I've been ice fishing a lot, so that's taken up most of my free time lately. Well, as of this weekend, the ice is gone..... :( , but now I get to focus my attention on purchasing and setting ...

Re: Leupold Crossbones Scope

Just providing an update in case others would want to order this scope from Natchez the next time they have this sale. My scope came w/ a very superficial 1/8" scratch on the tube. Based on the location, It looks like it was caused by a scope ring, so it must have been mounted at some point. Wh...

Re: New Excalibur Deadzone scope

Anthony, I agree....if I just paid retail and my crossbow was delivered in that fashion, I would be seriously upset and would question my decision about buying an Excalibur. That being said, I do recognize the manufacturer can't control every transaction conducted by a dealer. However, feedba...

Re: Leupold Crossbones Scope

$199 for blemished at Natchez. Call me crazy, but I just placed an order w/ Natchez for the scope and I don't even have my Matrix 380 yet! I have a Vari X III 1.75 - 6 on my 30.06 and the optics are amazing. It can be well past dusk and when you look through the scope it looks like high noon...

SEW and nchunterkw, Every time I see one of your posts, I know it's going to be informative w/ facts and/or opinion based on personal experience/ research. Re: Micro 335 vs Matrix 380 which to buy $$

Consider the G5 Striker they are extremely accurate out of my 380. Solid enough for moose is good enough for me. Hi Hunt It, Thanks for the real life feedback.....btw, gorgeous Moose!! I've always wanted to hunt a mature bull.....amazing animals. As I look around for broadheads, I do seem to keep c...

Re: Micro 335 vs Matrix 380 which to buy $$

....Welcome Lagarman...sounds like you have all of your bases covered and have a lot of experience bowhunting....the only thing I would add to your 380 would be a stringing aid to adjust the brace height of the string when the need arises. ....as a side note I know that there are some on here that ...

Re: Micro 335 vs Matrix 380 which to buy $$

Well I had a Exomax for several years. It was fast and very accurate but to wide for my way of hunting so I sold it and did the same thing you are doing going back and forth for months on which crossbow to buy. Only I was between the 405 and the 380. I think there is a issue that we may be missing ...

Re: Micro 335 vs Matrix 380 which to buy $$

I have only shot one deer that was on alert with a crossbow and it was only 20 yards away. It did not move as far as I could tell before the arrow arrived and this was with an Excal Vortex. I would be hesitant to take a much longer shot on any deer that was on alert. Too easy for one to jump the st...

....haven't shot anything with the 335 yet...but I have not seen anything jumping out to 35yds with the deer looking at me shooting the 380! Anthony :) Nice! No doubt, that 380 is an wicked piece of equipment. It was pretty cool that my 2 shots were in the bullseye and touching each other...

Re: Micro 335 vs Matrix 380 which to buy $$

I shot a doe a few weeks ago at 35 yards with my Matrix 330 using 18" BEEs and a G5 Montec. The arrow blew through and buried about 10 to 12 inches deep in the ground. I think any Excalibur bow has enough KE to blow right through a deer at normal hunting distances and probably a lot farther th...

Re: Micro 335 vs Matrix 380 which to buy $$

SEW - I really appreciated your candid review of the 405/380/335. For the last 2 months, I've been doing as much research as possible on crossbows and have made my mind up to join the Excalibur family. Last season I shot a nice 8 point with my 25 year old compound bow and after tracking tiny drops o...
