Re: Ontario Moose Hunting Changes Coming Down The Pipe

I live and moose hunt in wmu 57,this is one of the units with a calf tag draw. There are no more moose now than before they started the calf draw. In fact we have not seen a calf in the last three years. The way the system is set up now is nothing short of a cash grab, you pay your money to purchase...

I just bought an exomag 185,carved limbs, brown camo, brown rail and the safety is on the side not the back.

Greywolf

In some places in Ontario coyotes are protected with no open season on them.
If they found some average joe after dark with a setup like yours they would lock you up and throw away the key.

LW Maybe I was a bit harsh on my last reply,(sorry about that) I don't want to offend anyone on this forum. R.J I would post a picture of the areas I hunt but you would not see much as it is thicker than hair on a dog. There is no farm land here just bush and lots of it. I try and locate my stands o...

Guys I by no means want to start a war on this thread. This is the way I hunt and when you have three boys under the age of 17 spam that want to kill ever buck they see it's hard. The young lads see a lot of spikes and fork horns but pass them up.I'm trying to teach them some self contol and it seem...

R.J. I have three boys and two very good stands, I will only let them hunt when the wind is perfect for each stand. We hunted each stand five times this year and shot a 5,8,10 and 11 point so I can see people shooting big bucks by only hunting a couple times a year. I think most hunters over hunt th...

The heaviest I have harvested was 252lb field dressed but that was with the rifle, with the bow it is a 10 point that weighed 189lb field dressed and would score around 140.

I have used mine for a couple of years and can honestly say yes they work and I wont hunt without it. Those who say its a farce obviously dont own one. I took my secound deer on the ground this year while sitting on a chair in a standing corn field. The doe came in from behind me down wind walked a...

I allways play it safe and if the wind changes I leave.
In my opinon all of the scent control things are a farce,if you worry about the wind on some days don't hunt the stand.

YOU WILL NEVER FOOL THEM

Partikle

I have tried whole corn but it does not seem to work around here, what I bait with is called BEEF MIX [Mollases{sp} cracked corn, barley and oats]
I also use apples at the start of the season but very seldom see mature Bucks eating them.
