Re: Packing deer out
If you carry a small block and tackle you can reduce a deer to about 40-45% of their live weight. A good solid backpack with a frame should let you carry one out with ease.

Re: Scope recommendations again....
I changed to the Vortex Crossfire and the image is very clear although the reticle is pretty busy. My only complaint is that the center cross hair is set at 40yds instead of something shorter. Twenty or thirty would be a better distance in my opinion.

OT: Forum PM's
Hello all, I've tried for several days to send a PM but it just moves to the "outbox" but never goes anywhere. Has always worked in the past but doesn't currently. Any ideas?

Re: Lead fragments in venison
Been eating game at least 6-8 times per month for about 50 years. Cast my own pistol bullets and handle/shoot them all the time for probably 20 years. Also make my own sinkers for catfish. Have had my blood checked for lead a couple times and it's always been in the low normal range. You have a bett...

Re: have to switch hands
Sorry to hear the reason for the switch! Sounds like you're well on your way to shooting with the other hand. I shoot xbow/rifle with either hand and don't have any issues. I shoot off of sticks to help with stabilization but all you need to is practice until it becomes more natural. Since I still h...

Summit Customer Service
Just a quick note on Summit Treestand’s customer service. After having my Titan treestand for almost five years I noticed a couple of areas that it appeared that the paint was blistering and peeling. I contacted Summit via their web site and was asked to provide pictures of the defective areas. In t...

Re: Vixenmaster
I have two black and orange ones he made for my 330. Awesome strings that are wearing exceptionally well. Zero complaints other than the deer won't give me a chance to try them out.

Re: Confusing Hunt Area
I always look for terrain that funnels them in travel areas. Get a good top map and study it close. Sometimes it's overgrown with thick stuff from tornado damage, a rock formation, creek crossing or maybe even a field that they don't want to cross. I always think that deer like to take the easiest r...

Re: spot remover
Think the proper term is "vealison"...tender like veal but tastes like venison. That size is also easy to drag for those with bad knees or back.

Re: Deer and tomatoes
try ground cayenne pepper or "deer stop" spray that you can get from a hardware store. The "deer stop" spray is water based made with emulsified eggs, red pepper and garlic. Stinks to high heaven when wet but you can't smell it when dry. Don't get it on you.....you won't live lon...

Re: Matrix 330 changing POI
As suggested, I re-checked each/every fastener and found nothing loose. Took laser range finder to measure out 50yds and set up a table with a shooting bag. Reset the scope speed ring to lowest setting and confirmed zero at 20yds. Once that was confirmed I started increasing the speed ring above the...

Re: Matrix 330 changing POI
Thanks for the additional inputs. I've been shooting two arrows out of the dozen and a couple of times I have shot both of them as tight as 3/4" from each other at 50yds although most times they are hovering around 2". I'll turn up the speed ring next and see if that helps. Thanks!
