Re: arizona e z helical

No problem. This is the best way to fletch your arrows. Helps with fixed broadhead groups and wind drift.

Good Luck

Re: Varizone versus multi red dot sight

I like the 3 dot a lot better than the scope. Quick target aquisition and both eyes open. I have 3 of them for all my xbows. And a spare that I would consider selling if you decide you want to try one. They take a little getting used to, because the dots don't always match up with exact yardages. It...

Re: Ladder Stands

Gander Mtn. 17 ft Magnum stands are really sturdy and have an extra wide seat. Good price and comfortable.

Re: back to fixed blades

It is tough to beat a good fixed blade. They eliminate one variable. I have never had a Slik Trick fail to open or come open on the shot.

Re: trigger job

The absolute best money you can spend on your Excal is a Boo trigger job. It just makes everything else work better.

Twilight Deluxe Scope

I am surprised that there hasn't been a lot of conversation about the new scope since it was released. I really like mine and it seems much clearer at dusk than any others I have used. Had to get my rings from my local gun shop.

Re: What grain broadhead for Firebolts

Depends on which xbow you're shooting. I have an equinox and shoot firebolts w/brass inserts so that I can use all these 100gr slik tricks I have. Sometimes you just have to experiment.

Good Luck

Re: Twilight DLX Scope

Got mine a week ago, but no rings to mount it. The 30mm rifle rings are all high mount and I don't think they will work. Dan Miller is trying to help me get a set. Also Bowhunters Warehouse is trying to get them. I'll keep you posted.

Re: Had Another 3-D Club Meeting Last Night

Check out randwtargets.com This will save you some money on targets. They don't have a hugh selection, but hold up well and are half the price of makenzie. It is a small operation in NC. My 3D club has been using them for several years now.

Re: Crossbows in WV? Call your legislators.

Good luck with your effort. I have property in Hardy County and would sure like to take my Excal next year. Do you think input from a non-resident would help?

FireBolt Question

Are there brass inserts available for the FireBolts? And also what is the best way to get the old inserts out?
