Exomax-first crossbow impressions-serving wear
I found the time to do a little more target practice with the new Exomax. I really like this bow. The more I shoot it, the better it gets. My only problem with it is it seems to be eating the serving string where it is being held by the action. I have a little over a hundred shots on it so far (Exca...

Looking for custom string and arrow makers
I am looking for someone that makes custom strings and someone that makes custom arrows. As you all know I am new to crossbows and these forums or I would know who to talk to. If you make either of these items, or know someone that does, please email me so we can do some business. Thank you for your...

When you are talking about bent you got to keep in mind the straightness tolerance . IE most carbons run at about + or - .003 thats .006 total runout, while aluminums run at about +- .0015 to .002 . Doe Master, my idea of bent is, I supported the shaft in V-blocks right behind and in front of the f...

Re: Chronogragh
GNero lMany thanks for taking the time to reply. The findings that you stated are in keeping with other comments ie weight variation, glue. I thought these shafts were not subject to bend. They either were straight or if bent, they would break. This feature made them superior to aluminum, but that ...

It certainly goes to show Excaliburs specs are right on target! The 2 or so FPS keeping you under 330FPS are because of that string, your power stroke has been reduced slightly, as well as the lack of twisting. The Dacron string is a great string, but it needs to be twisted to do it's job. As far a...

Re: Chronogragh Tests
GNerol Great test and the results speak highly for the Excalibur. I have been following comments regarding Goldtip 2. OwnerITO aired some info in "Goldtip Problems---Mar. 9" and Polynojoe also made comments about" Laser II and Prolaser II on Mar 11". Have these comments all been...

Exomax-first crossbow impressions-Chronograph test
Well I finally got a day nice enough to dig out the Chronograph and check the speed of the arrows out of the Excalibur Exomax. The arrows I used were the Goldtip Laser 2 Graphites with the target tips installed, and weighed from 363 grains to 368 grains. 6 shots were clocked at 1. 328.2 fps 2. 327.9...

Exomax- first crossbow impressions LONG
Well, it finally got here, my first crossbow. The Excalibur Exomax arrived at the UPS Customer Center so I could go and pick it up. My road is still non-passable so they were not going to deliver it. It took 7 days to get here from Bowhunters Superstore. Not too bad I guess for delivery from PA to C...

I too have a problem with Gold Tip Laser 2 bolts. Just got my new Xbow yesterday. I ordered an extra 6-pack of bolts. One of the bolts in the extra pack is not straight. If you spin the bolt supported just in front and behind the fletching, the tip end of the bolt goes around in a circle about an in...

Brace height on Exomax
Hello everyone, I just picked up my new Xbow a few hours ago. Tomorrow I plan on posting a thread on my experience of setting it up and shooting it the first few times. But I have a question. I used the Crossbow Stringer that came with the accessory kit. At first it did not pull the limbs back far e...
