Nice deer....and meat in the freezer.

Started this muzzleloader/shotgun week nicely......my hunting buddy and I got set-up in our ground blind well before sunrise Monday morning. Once the sun came up we heard some shotgun blasts here and there.....at 8:20 suddenly this young buck pops into view heading straight toward us along the edge ...

That's a shooter...no question.

The lighted nock....and for the life of me I can't remember the brand name - it wasn't Lumenok.....did light up when I fired as I remember watching it go.....but by the time we started looking for it that night, we couldn't see it, Probably a combination of looking in the wrong place and it getting ...

Went searching for arrow today with no luck.....think it's buried under the leaves somewhere......with the price of the arrow...the broad head and lighted nock......that's an expensive loss. Dang.
