Re: String Stop System

If you are new to crossbows like I am, it is quite a shock to open the box of your new crossbow only to find the string embedded into the string stops. Having a new string stretch this much from the time you receive it until the time you open the box is quite surprising, especially after years with ...

If you don't mind me asking, how is the paint doing on top of the rails?? Any signs of wear yet?? I had bought one of those from PM but sent it back due to concerns about this happening.

Re: Matrix Built in Dry Fire Inhibitor?

Buck, here is a link on Amazon to the Dry Fire Inhibter that is on some Excalibur crossbows. You can tell immediately if this is installed on your crossbow by whether or not you see the T shaped handle at the back of the scope mounting rail. This is pushed in to release the ADF mechanism after engag...

Re: Matrix Built in Dry Fire Inhibitor?

That's exactly right Anthony! This guy at Pine Mountain has a few strange things going on besides the Matrix 380 all black and the ADF issues, he sells 335 Micros with the Twilight DLX scope instead of the Dead Zone that is offered everywhere else in the lite stuff package. Having had one of the Mat...

Re: Matrix Built in Dry Fire Inhibitor?

This seller sounds like Pine Mountain Archery in West Virginia. This is the same seller that runs the ads for the "Excalibur Matrix 380 Black Crossbow" which was a special run of ALL black 380 Matrix Crossbows by Excalibur. I have never seen them anywhere else but from this seller. The cat...

Re: Bad business

I just looked at their site and it appears that they take credit cards and Paypal. If you used either simply file a claim and get your money back. I always use PayPal whenever possible. In fact, I usually shop for price first and then PayPal second, using PayPal whenever prices are close enough. I ...

Re: Matrix 380 questions

I just acquired a Matrix 380 Blackout and decided to put the Tac-Zone scope that comes with it on my wife's Vixen II so she would have an illuminated reticle. Of course that gave me an excuse to do a scope upgrade. I took a look at the HHA Speed Dial crossbow mount and decided that it was the way to...

Re: New Matrix 380 String Creep

Thanks for the replies, I appreciate it. I just wanted to make sure there wasn't something else going on as I had read that the Matrix strings were made from D-97 material which is supposed to have little creep in comparison to other materials. Being an ex-compound bow user, I keep forgetting that t...

New Matrix 380 String Creep

I just received my new in the box Matrix 380 Blackout a couple days ago and finally found time to open the box and get it assembled. I had already purchased a Vixen II a couple of months back for my wife so was somewhat familiar with the process. I was really surprised to see that the string on the ...

Re: is there a quality 150-200$ xbow red dot out there?

Take a look at the Ultradot line of red dots. I use the Ultradot 6 as well as the Pan-V on different weapons. I would think they would be ideal on a crossbow, especially the Ultradot 6 with different dot sizes as well as dot/circle and cross hair. They are built like tanks and have a lifetime warran...

Re: Heads up about a seller on Ebay

There are a lot of non liberals that live in the state, especially east of the Cascades. The entire state is controlled politically by the I-5 corridor and Willamette Valley. Washington State is the same way. There have been a couple of attempts to legalize crossbows in certain situations like disab...

Re: Heads up about a seller on Ebay

To Vixenmaster, you are absolutely correct, there is no such thing as a 380 Nightmare. I have been looking at the 335 Micro bows before I decided upon the 380, I got the two confused. Of course it was the 380 Blackout that I was referring to but thanks for the correction. Thanks Grassy Knoll for the...

Re: Heads up about a seller on Ebay

I'm a newbie on this site, in fact this is my first post. I just switched over from Elite Archery compound bows. I used them for years, had several models, worked on them etc. I just grew tired of constantly tinkering with them, tuning, swapping limbs, etc. I just sold my last three and am getting r...
