Re: 335 Limb Failure Q for all.
Well good then. Thank you for answering. Just needed that assurance. I'm excited about getting it. I'm sure I will need your guys help in how to set it up too. I'm not seeing where I can order the arrows and strings most are recommending for the micro. And I'm a firm believer that it's best to stay...

Re: Anyone crossbow hunt pests?
Nice shots guys! Haven't been able to get a yote yet, I think my dogs keep them pretty far off property, but the other critters have no problem making themselves at home. I've found coons are tougher than groundhogs and typically will go with a broad head, but a well placed shot with a field point o...

Anyone crossbow hunt pests?
I guess less hunt and more "see and shoot" for some, but anyone go after things like whistlepigs, yotes, coons, etc with their crossbows? I haven't gotten into larger game hunting yet, and find the smaller targets make fun sport and help keep my property in check. Plus, they're small and g...

Re: is there a quality 150-200$ xbow red dot out there?
with a 30 yard zero would that 5mil dot allow for 20-40 yard shooting you think (shooting 305-335fps)? Or maybe that 'CQB' option is best suited to crossbow use? Depending on the shooters eyesight I believe it would. I think the euro/dot would be a good reticle for marking ranges. CQB wouldn't be b...

Re: is there a quality 150-200$ xbow red dot out there?
Mueller quick shot would fit the bill nicely. Great little sight, built for shotgun recoil so it can stand up to a xbow better than most of the other sub $400 red dots. That might be just what the Dr asked for. How is the 'ruggedness' of this sight do you have first hand experience? Thanks!!! Yep, ...

Re: Help choosing first crossbow
Have you held any of these in person? The reason I ask is because some folks are surprised at how big the matrix crossbows are. The micro to me is the perfect blend of size and power, IMHO. I'm biased though

Re: New Guy Checking in, Scope Question
Thanks for the pic deerstalker! I may take a trip over to my local basspro to compare the two when my dlx arrives. Something tells me I will be leaning toward the smaller footprint. Still have decent eyes so I'm hoping the reticle won't bother me.

Re: New Guy Checking in, Scope Question
Thank you my friend, you are a wealth of information! I appreciate the honesty.
I'll check out some hawke optics as well. Primarily looking for good optics first and foremost, lightweight and small footprint secondarily.

New Guy Checking in, Scope Question
Hello fellow Excalibur forum members! I've been lurking here for a few months and decided to sign up as I just bit the bullet and purchased a micro nightmare! A bit of background, I'm an avid firearm shooter and enjoy spending all of my time outdoors (fishing, hiking, camping). Truth be told, I've b...
