Re: The Close Shot
When they are 5 paces or so from the tree I don't worry about exactly where the arrow hits, its all within the pie plate kill zone if you are aiming in the center. A couple inches high or low is still within the pie plate. The problem I have is when the deer is as the base of the tree or 1-2 steps a...

Re: See All open sight
They work well for deer hunting. Took 4 deer with it this past season. Its true you can't see the lower half of the target when using (1) eye, but with both eyes open you can see the whole target. Takes a little getting used to using both eyes open. With the single aim point and the size of the kill...

Re: How far is too far?
This artilce made sense to me. For any weapon "about 0.3 seconds for the downward velocity of any projectile to become large enough to cause significant shot errors due to target range errors". https://sites.google.com/site/technicalarchery/technical-discussions-1/full-trajectory-calculato...

Re: Does it really make sense?
I shoot some all year and really start to shake the gear down in June. There have been a couple of times I had to order or warranty things and this way if it takes a month or two I'm not stressing.

Re: who sharpens broadheads?
I'm a woodworker and tried a Tormek water wheel for sharpening a magnus stinger. That is when I learned the metal is much softer than the chisel and hand plane steels I am used to using. It was very easy to get unbalanced from side to side. I don't have manual sharpeners after using the Tormek and n...

who sharpens broadheads?
Have tried a fixed blade magnus snuffer ss this year. Have not done extensive shooting with it, but tried it at 25 yds and it hit where I was aiming so I called it good. Shoot a doe with it monday at 40 yds, sorry no pictures, and had a decent blood trail. Pushed the deer for about 1-1.5 mi over abo...

Re: Serving
I ordered my serving material from Danny and just told him I needed a serving tool for it. I told him which serving tool I already had which I had been using for my long bow and he told me I should get a new tool with the heavier duty serving material. He sent me the same tool boo shows in the link,...

x3 BEE,
I also like to use the Lock-N-load inserts, self aligning and no glue.

See All sight review
These hunting post have really got me amped up. Season starts Tuesday for me and trying to get the wife to come home early and watch the baby so I can get in an afternoon sit. Anyways, switched it up and took the scope off and have been shooting with the See All open sight since early this year. One...
