Re: I'm in BIG Trouble!!!
The only thing less identifiable than a box with " Cabelas Cabelas cabelas cabelas Cabelas" marked all over it would be a 3' long white and blue box with a photo of a guy holding a crossbow and billboard sized caption reading "Excalibur Crossbow". These people need to understand ...

Re: DIY Fletching?
Thanks for all the great info. I ordered the vanes, had the blue capped gorilla glue already. As for the EZ fletch, I may have ordered the wrong jig. I ordered the Arizona EZ Fletch mini for Carbon Arrows. Just read the fine print after the order and saw that the mini "will accommodate any arro...

DIY Fletching?
About a dozen of my 18" BEEs have damaged or missing vains. A couple years ago I dropped 1/2 dozen bolts off at the archery shop for reflecting and wanted to file an Attempted Robbery Report when they told me the price. I could have had a dozen new complete bolts delivered to my door for less. ...

Congrats on the purchase, what are the odds that you can stare at the unopened box until 12/25?

Re: A little Dry in Northern NJ, but......
I honestly don't know. One source is Field & Stream "Best Days" calendar indicates the 11th and 19th. They have a Rut Map and Activity Map as well. Maybe someone with more insight can share.

Re: A little Dry in Northern NJ, but......
Agreed Anthony! Just some small bucks cruising with the nose glued to the ground. Sat all day yesterday and PM today only had a half spike and scrap 3 walk on by. Ofcourse, as usual, I take a walk to the detached garage at 10 PM tonight and see 2 tails trot up the driveway then hear leaves crunching...

Re: hunting in the rain
JB, I have hunted the excal Phoenix several times in the rain. Brought it in normal way with scope caps closed. No special cover, and string exposed. I have taken 3 deer when raining all in 30 yards or less. I generally don't take shots on game beyond that and would assume that further shots would b...

There are few bonds in life (if any) greater than a man and his dog. I feel your pain. Sorry for the loss.

Re: Deer movement ?
In NWNJ there has been a lot of activity. Had deer within range 9 out of 10 sittings. The little bucks have been chasing for several days. A lot of fresh rubs, scrapes. Was along side my house 30 minutes ago and a nice 7ptr walked within 20 yards with his nose glued to the ground. I think the next 7...

Re: Serving Issue
Thanks xcal, I just watched the Boo YouTube reserving vid. Seems like a lot of work to serve a string. Is there a way to tighten an existing serving or does it need to be removed? Also, is it normal for a serving to be redone after 10 shots in an excal brand string?

Serving Issue
I recently installed a new Dyna 97 Excaliburs brand string on my Matrix 355. After about 10 shots I noticed the serving began to shift where in the center of the rail. There is a small space on either side. I slide it back to center and now after each shot the serving shifts and the string is expose...

Re: Matrix Built in Dry Fire Inhibitor?
I closely examined the bow and there is nothing that resembles what can be described as a Dry Fire inhibitor. I checked the Bay and they continue to advertise the "Dry Fire Inhibitor" as an included feature. I emailed them for clearification asking if they considered the Safety as being th...
