Re: Random Survey
Use it with all my hang-ons. Piece of mind and truly a breeze climbing, sitting, and getting down. Do not use for my ladder stands. The entire rope does light up like a bright white laser when hit with a flashlight...... will definitely let everyone in a decent radius know where the stand is....

Custom Excaliburs
I’ve been shooting exals or years and on the forum for a couple years. I have recently noticed numerous topics about customizing Excaliburs. Posts about cutting down rails, measurement inquiries, swapping risers, and stocks. Buying a new bow with the intention of altering it. Is this because after t...

Great tip! Learn something new every day.

Re: Rubber grips Micro
My micro grips earned some battle scars from this season. Took a beating on a rough ride to my stand up a mountain. Still deadly accurate, but definitely showing the wear. I was curious are the grip inserts replaceable? If yes, how?

Pros / Cons of Loctite ?
I have been spending a lot of time shooting and have had a few random screws that needed tightening. I am contemplating blue loctite-ing but thought it would be best to get input and tap into the vast knowledge of the forum. Is it recommended or not? Are there any screws I should avoid? Are there so...

Brace Height on Excaliburcrossbow.com
I'm not sure but brace height of the hunter's bow in the image excaliburcrossbow.com " Trused for over 35 YEARS" homepage appears to be a little off. Does the image seem correct?

Re: Hunting close to the house/back yard
I do hunt in my yard in an area where houses are sitting on 5 acre lots. On more than one occasion I've have had deer feeding less than 20 yards beyond my target while shooting. Would retrieve arrows and shoot some more and they didn't flinch. I would take 2 steps beyond the target in their directio...

Re: Shoulder Issues
Hang in there and keep optimistic. A shoulder injury brought me to Excaliburs after 15 years of pure vertical bow shooting. SLAP tear, complete biceps tendon tear, 2 reattachment surgeries and 5 anchors later I thought I was done with archery. Shortly after rehab from my last surgery I was using the...

Success with Micro 335 Can't Post Pic
Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached...... I wanted to share a pic of my fortunate and successful hunt. Transferred from iPhone to email using the smallest file size possible. Saved the pic to my iPad and attempted to post and received the above denial. Can anyone advise me how to post...

Re: Boltcutter Kills
12 deer all with Boltcutters. 10 were pass-throughs with adiquate blood trails and an average recovery under 50 yards, 1 buck with only couple drops over 300 yards, the other one left a 100 yard trail like a busted radiator.
All recoveries without looking too hard.

Re: Favorite target
Field Points and Bolt Cutters- The Block. Bolts get easier to pull with consistent shots. Unfortunately sooner or later the shafts will penetrate to Fletching. All time favorite broad head target was a mature high and wide 11pointer. Unfortunately I only took one shot at it in 2009 and haven't seen ...

Re: DIY Fletching?
Ordered and received everything needed for project. Even grabbed a large can of Acetone from the Depot. $60 for the EZ fletch bolt, glue, and enough Blazers to do over 10 Dozen bolts. I went a little heavy with the glue on the 1st bolt, the other 5 went flawlessly. Let them dry overnight and sent th...

Looks like a great day. I'm a stones throw from Black River and would definitely head to Flatbrook for some shooting.
