I was suprised when uncocking the grizzly, how low the pull seemed when uncocking ? I suppose it is due to how using one arm with the cocking rope replicates using a lever to some extent.

Like has been said above, the conditions at the moment have the biggest impact on what an ethical shot is. Is the deer alone ? Are there Turkeys in the same area ? Windy ? Dew Point ? Personally, and this is just me, but I will never bow hunt during rain, be it a light mist or a downpour with a bow/xbow. No matter how good the shot is, the rain cleans the woods like an eraser on a chalk board. Mark PS: I have already helped a few guys find deer by taking the dog pheasant hunting ...

Any string that is continually stretching should get replaced. If you put that string under a high power magnifying lense, you would see small micro tears length wise on the string.
