Re: 2016 Models - Not impressed.
The crossbow market that Bill and Kath built the business in is very different from the market now. Performance and reliability were hard to find in a crossbow in 1983. Bill T fixed that and built a business on it. There were very few players then so the business model worked. Today there are a who...

Fool me once. Shame on you. Fool me twice. Shame on me. We will just have to wait and see the results. Proof is in the pudding. Looks and names or marketing claims don't cut it. It's to be proven. For Excaliburs sake, hope it works out.

Re: A micro 335 @ 357fps... my keeper !
Wow. I haven't tested mine with a lighter arrow. That sounds good. My first limbs were 326 fps with a 380gr arrow. Replacement limbs are 323 fps with same arrows. Which is totally fine with me if these limbs hold up. I'm thinking of going up a bit more in grains just for good measure.

Same. Names and looks don't get my money. Reliability, quality will. Not hearing what I wanted to hear so far as any big changes in that area.8ptbuk wrote:Not too impressed I must say ! I'm still not sure where the limb issues stands ???

Re: what happened to the reasonable price on Excal crossbows
Being On fixed income it puts the Price of the new xbows and some of the older xbows out of reach. For what I get each month from disability it would take me months to buy a new xbow . Yes I would love a matrix but at the price of it not happening . So I stay with what I have Exo series models .Jus...

Re: what happened to the reasonable price on Excal crossbows
It's only expensive if you want to stay on the cutting edge. It's like that with everything. I won't pay 30K for a new car if I can get one that's 5 years old for 15K - I don't NEED the latest/greatest. Same with bows. My Vix II is all the bow I NEED. And as pretty, fancy and fast as the offerings ...

And guys use the black foam one's that insulate pipes. Already has a slit in it to place on the stock. Sorry it's not a answer to your question. Just a idea if needed.bob watkins wrote:i needed a little more height on cheek piece took a foam handle-- bike bar handle two face tape it was just enough works great
