Re: Reflex/Hologram Sight on a Crossbow
I have a Weaver reflex sight that I use for my handgun...I've tried it on my Micro and can hit 10's between 15-25 yards at the range, so I'm going to try mounting it at a 45 degree angle and use it as a secondary sight. The only cons that I've found is I might lose my dot in direct sunlight (reason ...

Re: Long Range Crossbow Hunting !
Although I practice out to 80-90 yards, I wouldn't take a shot at a deer beyond 40 yards or if it's looking right at me. That being said, I'm comfortable taking a shot up to 25 yards without a rest, but anything beyond that...I use a bi-pod. As for my vertical bow, nothing past 40 yards even though ...

Re: Worst than a woman
I had a slivered limb with my micro at about 1500 shots or so...it may or may not have been my fault as I was playing with the brace height at the time. If it wasn't under warranty, I would have probably sanded it out and kept shooting. As it was under warranty, I had a brand new pair of limbs back ...

Re: New guy here needing some wisdom..
Hi As I'm new to the whole crossbow world, I was in your shoes not long ago. As someone that's been into archery for quite a few years, I've always wanted a crossbow, but never pulled the trigger until recently. Before my research, I wanted the biggest, baddest crossbow that money could buy...but th...

Re: Tac Pac on a Micro
I just put the airbrakes and the Tac Pac on my Micro. Shooting is more accurate, but it does unbalance the bow. I use a larger bipod for long distance target practice, so being unbalanced doesn't bother me there. Shots taken standing upright is where I've noticed it the most. I may put a stabilizer ...

Anybody else name their crossbow?
As a "Walking Dead" fan, I named my Micro 335 "Judith" after baby Judith on the Walking Dead. Since the Micro is physically the smallest of the Excal line, but still a "Little Ass Kicker" (as baby Judith was nicknamed by Daryl, who uses a crossbow in the series), I figu...

Re: Waxed dental floss on serving
I keep waxed dental floss for emergency repair on my vertical bow, but for my Excal, I keep a spare string...I don't know if floss would handle the 270 lb draw weight of my micro

Re: Dont feed the trolls!!
It was an "in general" comment to all trolls...funny how you assumed it was you. Your automatic assumption that I was speaking directly to you is an admission that you are a troll. And here I am, feeding the troll...lol! Just enjoy whatever crossbow you have and share some hunting experien...

Dont feed the trolls!!
I find nothing wrong with opinions on other crossbow brands or whatever, but when a "discussion" turns into a pissing contest, it takes the enjoyment out of the forums. I realize I'm new here, but as I hope to stick around a while lurking for useful advice regarding my Excal, this will be ...

Micro 335 and airbrakes
I bought a Micro 335 back in October and I have to say that it's an awesome little bow. The folks at Hardcore Archery in Kelowna give everyone a lesson on proper cocking and decocking as well as proper maintenance. They even threw in free rail lube. They warned me not to shoot at the same spot twice...

Re: servings
Hey, I'm new to the world of crossbows. I have a Micro, which I love by the way, and it eats servings. I had to get my original string reserved after a couple hundred shots. I used the recommended wax, but what I've done differently with my back up string is I melt the serving wax by rubbing it in w...
