Good overall but really too much walking in puddles and wading in rivers. The number one rule outdoors is to keep your feet dry.

Some pheasant out my way in the west but mostly grouse in the forests, then ptarmigan up high.
I've hunted them with my recurve but wondered about using a crossbow.

Those sound like the standard fare for upland. Having a good dog makes all the difference.

Hello All:
I am new to the forum and was wondering whether aside from big game, does anyone hunt upland game birds with a crossbow?
If so, what accessories work best? (e.g. judo heads, extra fletching, etc...).
