I had a porcupine make his home in my tree stand one year. I saw him coming down the hill in front of me and he was smelling every tree as he went. When he got to mine I could hear the scratching of claws as he began to climb. I turned around and poked him with my shotgun, he kept trying to push pas...

Very fast birds. They can hear you pull the trigger and change their flight direction  . Small shot and a wide open choke is the best approach. Don't feel bad about shooting them before they fly, just add another tick mark to the successful stalking sheet  .

Don't think I'd be shopping there unless I knew exactly what I was looking for. Sounds like the guy is trying to pull a fast one or he just doesn't have a clue :? . When ever I have a question I post it here and it gets answered fast and RIGHT!

Since I now have my new baby (exocet) on the way, you can count me in too. I thinnk it would be a good idea to have one each year or 6 months. Have one in the US, one in Canada, one in the US, .................etc.

Just scored an Exocet!!!!!!!!!

Wow am I excited :D .

I got it on ebay for $411 US. It is deerhide with a max zone scope, quiver, quiver bracket, ff string, four carbon bolts, and sling studs. Sweet deal :!: Can't wait to get it.

The waiting period for the shipping will be worse than the last 5 minutes of bidding :?.

All these fees, gst, etc (aside from the actual mailing charge) are they charged when you buy privately or are you guys talking about buying from a dealer???

I'm looking at a private listing.

Went out yesterday to do some scouting. Found some major "highways" through the brush and a lot of old rubs. Some places you couldn't go 20 ft without seeing another. Lots of tracks and heard a couple in the bush, but did't get a look at them. How many more sleeps til the first  .

I've never hunted moose, but for deer, I just love bad wet weather. I've taken most of my deer very early in the evening (first 1/2 hr in the stand) or even walking to the stand in hard rain. The key is location. I used to hunt a relatively small, but thick pine growth during these days. It can be p...

You'll have to excuse the engineer in me . 6-7 yards = approx. 20ft and your 15 ft up a tree  . You are better than a 45degree angle. You might not double lung them but you'll still have a lot to shoot at. I think you'd be fine with this, but I'm no expert.
