Son's First Solo Buck

My 15 year old son Lukas had sweet success on Thursday evening while hunting what we've coined the "Number 1" stand. He had shot a buck previously as an apprentice hunter with me in the blind with him, but this is the first one he's shot while hunting solo and he was super excited! And it ...

Ontario Meat Buck(s) - Bow Cam Footage!

Well the season is pretty much wrapped up for us. We managed two good freezer-fillers this past week, as it seems the rut is starting up. Both bucks responded to the grunt tube call - don't leave home without it! Buck #1 was harvested Monday Oct 23rd. 4 pointer. Had a doe and two fawns come by the s...

Re: Controlled Hunt of 2016

Awesome job.

Looks like some more quality time is being spent with family in the deer woods. No better place to bond than with venison in the freezer and post-hunt celebratory beverages!

Awesome looking buck! Nice job, and you never know when to expect the big boy to show up.

As in Big Brother, expect the unexpected!

Congrats.

Son's First Deer - Proud Dad!

It was a very exciting day in our household on Saturday, as my hunting apprentice son harvested his first deer under my direct supervision and tuteledge. It was a remarkable bonding experience to have with my boy, something we will both remember for the rest of our lives, I’m sure! I have been hunti...

Re: Zombie Slayer Bolts?

Are there any Canadian custom arrow makers still in biz? Big John did a wonderful job for me in the past. Is he no longer doing them?
