Arrows for "plinking"?

My daughter has asked for some arrows for Christmas. We've got a couple old recurve bows - one 40# fiberglass and one 51# wood/fiberglass. Anyway, she's getting really interested in bow hunting - but is undecided whether she wants to shoot verts or xbows. So, she wants to get some of her own arrows ...

I don't own a micrometer, but it looks roughly 1mm or maybe just a shade more. That's the strand itself - it's "buttoned" at the end facing your eye which gives it a larger appearance.

You looking to replace yours?

Heck, you could probably just look on the Simplicity or Mcall's (McCalls?) website and or the one for JoAnn fabric for a suitable pattern. GaryL speaks the truth - Depending on how simple the pattern, sewing can be easy or frustrating. Think of it this way, you could easily make a pair loose fitting...

You suppose the bum leg is from injury? Or from disease?

I'll throw in with the "hunt both" crowd. Ol Gimpy there would still make a nice mount. That leg won't cause too much meat loss either.

Serious question fellers - Do you really NOT have to sight the crossboo in again after diasassembling and reassembling? I guess I find it a little hard to believe... Is leaving the string installed the key to maintaining the point of impact? What happens if you are inconsistent with the amount of to...

Forgot to mention it, but I was suprised when I checked to see what he'd been dining on - very small (1/2") freshwater mussels! He must have had 20 of those things in him? Fantastic! PRE-stuffed with oyster dressing and all! I tell ya, it don't get no better than that. ... also gives me an ide...

:D Ditto! great scope http://www.excaliburcrossbow.com/accessories/scopes.html The Web Dude needs to redirect that link - it doesn't say Vari-Zone anywhere on that page: "Our 2.5 power DROP-ZONE* and MAX-ZONE* multiplex crossbow scopes allow hunters to accurately compensate for the trajectory ...

In addition to the Excalibur Vari-Zone model - there are a few other options: This one from Tasco is a bargain - I saw a couple sites that had 'em for less than $40USD. The description says it has a "crossbow reticle" - no picture of the reticle, but I found a review that describes it - &q...

True.

Might check the local store too - I know their Excalibur display has a quiver mount and a few other things - maybe they have the stabilizer mount too.

Two more stabilizer questions then I'll quit...

I hate beating a dead horse, but I wanna add a couple more whacks just make sure it ain't getting up :D 1. How heavy is your stabilizer? I got two picked out - one is 4.9 ounces, the other 9 ounces - would the heavier one be more helpful in the accuracy department? 2. Is there a secret geometric for...
