I have a dumb question.
If you cook your beef thoroughly, is the danger of getting sick from "mad cow" eliminated?

This may not be true of anyone else - but to me, the various scoring systems like Pope and Young (or Boone and Crockett, or any state sanctioned point system) only makes for great suppertime conversation and is wonderful for those who view hunting as a competitive sport... ... I'd rather discuss a g...

Guess I'll jump on the wagon too. I was able to A/B my Exomag with a Vari-Zone to a friends Horton Legend (175# I think) with a red-dot: - Exomag feels much lighter and better balanced. - No comparison with the trigger pull, the Emag let's go with just an easy squeeze. This helps me hold on target b...

Thanks for the ideas gents - and wabi, that kit sounds like the way to go - might start with a little low-end deal first. Fishing gear doesn't seem to retain its value like Excalibur Crozboos - so I hate to spend a bunch and end up not liking it!   And yes - ultra lights are a hoot -...

OT - Fly Fishing
OK... I know exactly jack squat about fly fishing, but a buddy at work wants to go. SO... I see where fly rods/reels/line are various sizes and whatnot - what's a good weight or size for a real "all purpose" type outfit... by "all purpose" I mean that it won't be used exclusively...

Anyone still have that Jumping Moose link???
Seems like a long time ago someone posted a link or maybe a series of pictures that showed a moose jumping over a fence.
I want to send them to a couple buddies of mine.
If you have them, thanks in advance for your time and trouble.

Well, if you're shooting both with a scope or are using a peep sight on both, I guess it would help you - at the very least it's good practice on crosshair placement and holding on target - though I'm guessing a rifle might be a shade heavier than a crossbow. Excalibur triggers are nice for that too...
