How do you cook wild turkey?

With any luck this will be my first wild turkey hunt. What is the best way to cook them. A friend suggested to bbq the breast and either make soup out of the rest or just forget it. Got to be better ways. Any suggestions. :?

We are planning on going . Bought my Excalibur bow there a couple of years ago. There are many outfitters there for caribou hunts etc. The one that got our interest more was the group from the East side of James Bay. I think they were Cree indians. Very nice people to talk with. Havent made it on an...

That truly is the truth. Thanks for putting my day into perspective. Now I am going to have my coffee in the same cup I have had for nearly twenty five years. :)

We have had problems like that over the years. Squirrels can be just as bad as coons only they are a little smaller. I don't think twice of shooting either. I do not live in a large city but in a built up area of eight houses on the outskirts of a small town. Laws are the same but not as strict as t...

I have to agree with ecoaster and huntman. If the steps or ladder stand is there and you have permission to be hunting on the land I can't see the problem. If you don't want someone else to use your stuff take it home each day when you are finished. I have never used anyone elses ladders etc. but I ...

Thanks for the information Warningshot. It is odd that the information appears on the crossbow forum before it appears on our own atv forum. Go figure. Thanks.

Sounds like a good idear to bring the other half with us. The problem arrises that we have to remember the story the way we told them how it really happened or didn't happen. Could be some interesting moments. Hope every can make it.

You are quite right Digger. There is a lot of things that are not equal across the board. Maybe in a so called "election year" they may take more notice of the problem. Thanks for your information.

Some of your local atv dealers might be able to find information on buying one. There may be a rent-all place that might have them also. As Rutman says , those diamond tooth harrows make good work. Actually you may have a better seed bed with them , it will be finer.I have a two section for behind m...

I did enjoy the Christmas storey. It is a shame that some feel that way about it. It should be one of the happiest times of the year. One large birthday party. A time to be thankful for the animals we harvested and for the ones we didn't get. It is a humbling experience when you have gone deer huint...

Yep, they are gone from their usual spots. My hunting areas are void of any deer. Last year you could always see tracks in the snow. This year no deer, plenty of other tracks . I took the ladder stand down and put it away for the season. Too darn cold up there anyway. I didn't get a back up property...

The group I normally hunt with near Auburn are being asked yearly" don't forget to hunt our property" I am sure we are not the only hunters that get asked. The excess deer are a financial burden on the farmers. There are not many who will say no to hunters as long as they know when and whe...
