range finder?
I'm doing some shooting with my new exomax[incredably accurate]-and made a few observations-out to 30 yards it shoots bang on the money-after that-even another 10 yards it starts to drop -maybe 4''-6 ''so that tells me I should pretty well restrict any hunting to 40 yards or less-and given the traje...

This guy has used a crossbow for years-and he was impressed[so was I,to say the least].The bolt, with a target point, punched right through 16'' of styrofoam. My guess is it would do the same with a broadhead on a deer, and I don't think I'd be afraid to try a shot on a moose, either[somewhere I saw a v...

FIRST SHOT-EVER

cocking lever
Has anybody ever used a cocking lever for their crossbow? It seems to be a reasonable option for target shooting[obviously the rope puller being better for hunting]I'd be interested if anybody has any experiance with them-or has plans for making one.Its got to be a very simple mechanical device ,much...

you can't hurt cast iron-justwash it WITHOUT detergent, wipe dry, lightly coat with oil and put away to cook another day.The worst that can happen is you have to reseason it-coat with oil and bake all night in a moderate oven.I picked up an old cast iron waffle iron-the kind that sits in a ring and y...

arrows-aluminum or carbon fiber?
Being new to this-what should I be buying in arrows?Aluminum or carbon fiber? What are the advantages/disadvantages of each?Do they vary much in quality?Where is the best source? What sort of price range?I have a new Exomax and am not going to be competition shooting-just backyard target shooting and ...
