a friend of mine who was a surgeon said a deer could go for 7 seconds with a 100% blood supply to the brain cut off-but how many shots result in a 100% cut off?-and a deer can go a long way in 7 seconds in any case....I've had a couple of guys say they hit a deer in the spine that dropped in its tra...

spring bear tends to be lean-some people say a fall bear tastes better-but that is not my experiance.Mind you a fall bear [as long as it isn't on fish]is very nice table fare too-especially after pigging out on berries.I render down the fat into a hard odourless pure white lard-excellent for baking....

how far?

The primary deer rut will begin in earnest in the next couple of weeks in my area-and I hope to take my first blacktail with my new exomax.Given a broadside double lung shot-how far would a deer be reasonably expected to go after the hit?[given the usual 1/2 hour wait before followup]

I have yet to take an animal with my new exomax, but judging from the trajectory drop past 35 yards, plus the challenge of accurately judging distances past 35 or 40 yards,I think I would want to be pretty certain of my range before I fired a shot-too easy to think it was a 50 yard shot when it was re...

I would think looking down and seeing the red dot of a lazer sight centered on their chest would have a wonderful way of refocussing the attention of any criminal and helping them decide that where ever they were, they don't want to be,and whatever they were planning on doing, deciding not to.....so...

I;m just surprised someone hasn't come up with a cordless drill attachement for the crankeroo-it would be fine for target shooting
