Congrats on your hunt R.J. Those tenderloins will be soft and tasty. There's nothing sweeter than shooting or harvesting deer or game on your own property.

You may have all the snow, but we got the COLD !!!!! Down to minus 38 and 40.

Merry Xmas R.J.

I believe the guide yelled 40 yards. I think that I double lunged him, not sure now. My arrows were carbon, with aluminum inserts. Of all animals or birds, anything, that I've ever shot, this Buffalo bled like I've never seen before. They have a ton of blood. He ran full tilt for about 300- 400 yard...

A couple years ago i shot a Plains Buffalo with my 200 lb. Exomag, with 100 grain slick tricks, almost a pass thru. I don't recommend 100 gr. go with a least 125 gr. The broadhead exploded into 5 or 6 pieces. He was a 3 year old and about 1100 lbs. live weight. Grey Owl P.S. We didn't have a rifle f...

Sorry Saxman I'm 25 days late on this thread. I've been so busy lately with working 2 jobs and stuff, I just didn't have the time to clue in on all the post's. I'm not the most religious fellow on the forum, but I do pray once in awhile, and even if i don't, I still feel your pain. I have a very big...

Thanks guys for all your replies. I kinda thought you shouln't mess with these types of animals. Just got off the phone with the local Game Warden. He gave me the go ahead to take these dogs if I should see them again. They've been around the area for a least 2 weeks that i know of. That explain's a...

Need Help!! Wild Dogs, Are They Dangerous?????

I'm asking any one with information about Wild Dogs. I know from reading posts on here that down in the southern U.S.A. wild dogs are a big problem. But up here in the north country they would never survive a harsh winter, "I think". About a 10 days ago I was hunting on our property and I ...

Sorry about getting back to you so late R.J. Things at the back 800 acres, are just hunky dorey. As for the University, there not any better. We (all the staff) have just told H.R. to stick the over time, up you know where. That oughta cause a crisis here. All 11 of us are sticking together, and wil...

Nice pictures and even a nicer looking farm. How many acres do you have there? There wouldn't be a job opened for a maintenance man, would there?

Thanks guys for the valuable tip.

Hunting in the wind is down right dangerous. Even a small branch that breaks off, can hurt you bad, not to mention a tree. But.......... if you ever want to walk up on a BIG BUCK, that's the time. My tip if your hunting in a heavy wind, Always walk in a cross wind direction. A big buck can sme...

No !!! No!!! Huntman it was me. This morning when I got up, it was -12 C. here. That oughta flick the leaves off the trees. The full deep rut is only about 2 weeks away. Cold weather only makes it more intense, bring it on. HAHAHA Huntman and the rest of my team, I've been seeing two very good bucks...

CF things are little different here. 3 bad winters with heavy snow, knocked the deer pop. down quite a bit. But........... while out hunting for ruffled grouse last weekend, I did scare up a very tall tined buck. I'd say he was a 5x5 with the G2's a least 12 inches, likely score well into the 160's....

Glad to hear your back at home Ray. Still finding the time to phone you, after the hunting season might be the ticket. Natural ground blinds I think are the best. What I'll be doing next week when I'm on holidays, is making a blind from dead logs, branches, gatherings local grasses or herbs and maki...

Their days would be numbered here in Sask., in a hard, cold winter.

Those spots are just there for lining up the cross hairs on the Varizone.
