I took some flet underlayment used for installing composit flooring. Wrapped the Block on three sides and hold in place with bunge cords in back. Spray painted offset dots to hit in places not worn out. BTW My Sliick Tricks shoot to the same point as the field bolts, no need to practice with $10.00 ...

I purchased a CD " Basic String Making" by Larry Wise, put out by Apple Archer. It does what the title claims, including serving. I'm in the process of making a string stretcher to keep my string very tight while serving, which will help keep the serving from opening up.

trigger lube

No need to take out the trigger unit. I used a spray can with a plastic nozel and sprayed up into the trigger unit with the bow upside down. Easy does it on the spray.

Thanks Boo I appreciate you advice ... I read a lot about your strings. I enjoy making things as much as using them. Make my own strings and cables for the compound. Made my adjustable string jig and bow press. It took seveal false starts to get my fist endless loop, split loop cable but man what fu...

That wasn't a flip answer, apparently there were some bows with spring issues this year. I had much the same problem with my Equinox, considerable take up and gritty release. I stumbled on a cure. Here's what I wrote re my fix under my post above: "Incredible as it may sound, I lubed the trigge...

Problem Solved

Incredible as it may sound, I lubed the trigger mechanism with TriFlo, a lubricant with Teflon in it, and the creep and take up vanished. Just vanished! I had been shooting the bow on an almost daily basis and it wasn't coming around. After the lube, take up is zero and my release is just a hair und...

There should be two marks at the front end of the tiller (where the bolt exits) the string should be twisted only until it's between those marks. Ten twists seems too much. I also had problems with the Elite string that came with the bow. Chaged to Flemish string for Excalbur (available from bow sho...

Way to go. TC's, nice as they are, don't give hugs. My out of town daughter surprised me on Fathers Day with a tin of homemade gingersnaps... my very fave. It made all those sleepless nights worht it.

Cal.
Taking up the slack with the safety off hasn't been a problem. I lubed the unit with a liquid spray with Teflon and it seems that it helped to reduce the take up. Seems a bit smoother too. Hav'n't had a chance to put the trigger scale on it to check if the pull weight was affected too.

actually you only have to take the stroing off one end. Gine the string 2 or 3 twists and try again if brace hight is down. Mine shoots best when it's set about 3/4' above bottom line (there are two lines on the tiller, the string should be between them).

It's pretty much a mute point in this part of Minnesota. I can shoot 2 deer (without buying management tags) but only one buck. I can use a bow, crossbow (with permit), handgun, rifle, shotgun/slug or muzzleloader. Bows, & X bows have their own season and can be used throughout the entire deer s...
