Yes you are correct that the flemish dacron can be purchased now from Excalibur. Wabi wrote last last part (a few years ago) right when Dan Miller started making them in volume to sell as an option. I believe he said that he had been making them for quite some time but not for the general public (no...

I really like what my right helical clamp does for my 2 inch Blazer vanes. It keeps them fairly straight on the shaft but just the right amount of small twist 8) Anyway with my setup and because of the larger diameter of bolts my Bitzenburger L/R dial marks (both top and bottom) are very close to be...

I dont know of anything like that on the market. I know Bitzenburger has theyre own style bolt receiver. I found a small bolt that threaded into the nocks and took the dremel tool to cut the slot of the bolt wider until it fit snug and put half of an insert on for spacing. It works great. http://i7....

Yes pokynojoe I know what you mean. I too am learning what many on here know as well. I have done in the past exactly what your doing now. I used my dremel tool and cut the bolt length, rear nock down as well as the front. I was down to 323 grains for my Vixen and the minimum is 325 so I was pushing...

If you are not after a lot of speed (like me) then I dont think it will make much difference with the Vixen. I like my Vixen just the way it is with a FFF. But I might change to something new next year...who knows. Wabi once wrote the following information for me and I hope it might help you make yo...

Tough Buddy heater in blind...thanks
It was 18 degrees this morning down here in the bottom land (close to river bottom). Bought new Tough Buddy heater (almost same as Big Buddy) with adjustable 4000, 9000, and 18,000 btu settings. Son and I went up in blind and sat in comfort and no bad smell from fumes or anything else. I only wore m...

Yes but very carefully. I dont do it any more because I believe that you can easily weaken the carbon bolt. But I use to attach a field tip to the insert to be removed and have a pair of pliers ready to go. One way is you can use a propane torch to apply direct heat but you must be even more careful...

Re: Scale
I did the same thing but I dont reload bullets. My Lyman 1000 works great.Stosh wrote:I use my reloading powder scale, I just bent the pan a mite so it will hold the bolts. If you reload bullets.
