Ex-oil
Hey guys, sorry if this seems like a novice question but that's what I am :D Just picked up some ex oil to do some maintenance on my bow since getting caught in the rain all day last Saturday. I oiled the trigger and safety mechanism successfully and now want to take care of my fasteners. Question: ...

Replacement Screws
I was wondering if there was any documentation on the web somewhere that gives the specifications for all of the different screws/fasteners that accompany an Excalibur bow? I noticed the other day that one of the screws and cap nuts that hold on the quiver slide was missing. No big deal I thought, s...

Flat inserts - Diablo bolts
Hey guys, Quick question regarding the flat inserts that are standard on the diablo bolts for the matrix 380. I noticed after my last shooting session, the insert on one of the bolts had come out of the bolt about 1/2''. I simply pushed it back in and wasn't able to get it back out or move it by jus...

Re: Bolt Vane Placement
Thanks for the replies. Good to know! Just going to fletch my other practice arrows to match the first one I referenced. Measured it after Dan's reply and even though it's further up than the factory fletching, it did come out to 1.25'' so I'm not worried

Bolt Vane Placement
Hey guys, I recently picked up an Arizona EZ fletch bolt jig and some 2'' blazer vanes. This is my first time messing with fletching a bolt myself so I just had a couple questions.. I noticed after placing my bolt into the rig until it rests on the nock receiver in the jig (Diablo 18'' bolts with fl...

Re: Arizona E-Z Fletch
Glad I checked now.. Didn't realize there was a specific bolt version
Going to grab one of those and some 2'' blazer vanes.. Is there a specific glue that is preferred?

Arizona E-Z Fletch
Researching around the past couple weeks it seems a decent consensus that the Arizona EZ fletch tool is perfectly capable and simple for fletching bolts (especially for a beginner, which I most definitely am). I just wanted to ask some opinions on the Helical that you guys prefer on your bolts. I'm ...

Re: Beginner questions - String and Bolts
Loctite must be accompanied with enough fastener torque. A fastener that is not tight enough will come loose with or without loctite. Yeah, makes sense. My bow never had any applied to it though I discovered. All 4 fasteners I removed from the rail last night were bare. When I was initially assembl...

Re: Beginner questions - String and Bolts
So finally after work I was able to get home and take a closer look at my loose rail/guardian adf.. The screws are definitely loose. I was able to unscrew them completely with my fingers. I've never used loctite before, but based on other times and scenarios I've used some sort of glue throughout my...

Re: Beginner questions - String and Bolts
I'm definitely interested in seeing what custom strings/bolts people are selling. Is there a custom shop on the site somewhere or are these transactions done through forums/private chats? As for the blue loctite, I am picking some up today. I noticed after my last shooting session that the guardian ...

Re: Beginner questions - String and Bolts
Thanks for the replies. So I do think I am going to go with the Arizona EZ Fletch Bolt Fletching Jig. You mention Helical is best for broadheads, how much are field points affected with the same fletchings? From what I can tell, I need to choose the correct tool, ie they sell one that does helical r...

Beginner questions - String and Bolts
Hey guys, First off, complete crossbow beginner here so please keep that in mind with some of my questions. I purchased the Matrix 380 and received it this past Wednesday (7/20). Bought a 400 FPS target to go along with it. So one of my first observations after assembling the bow was that the string...
