I agree with Carl from Vermont.....the ivory billed bird has a wingspan of about 3 ft, and is about 20" long. Also, it was found only in the southern states. Its definately not the Pileated bird we see in Pennsylvania.

Re: Tricky Question ???

I have done some research but cant seem to find an answer. I was wondering if anyone might know some kind of average rate that a deer can drop in inches per second (string jump). Thanks A deer cannot "drop" at a rate greater than the pull of gravity. The distance it drops is 1/2 x 32.2 x ...

I always wonder what the question of noise in crossbows is all about. Does it really matter? Just something to catch brush & add weight. Not being picky or disrespectful here; I'm just curious as to what the fascination is with crossbow noise & why it's important to some folks?? :? Greg I s...

Strange, I have never fired an Excalibur where there was any creep in the trigger. Some have had a heavier trigger then others but no creep. I have fired 3 different Excaliber Xbows.....All had very noticible creep. The creep was eliminated in the one I bought by spraying WD-40 on the trigger mecha...

I practice in my basement year round with a pellet rifle. It has helped me emensely with a flinch problem I had. I imagine Xbow shooting would accomplish the same thing.
Constant practice also gives good trigger finger control. I recommend it highly.

Another use for WD-40 Believe it or not!

For you WD-40 users. This is no joke. Last year, while on a fishing pier in Rehobeth Beach DE, fishermen were spraying their bait with WD-40. They said that fish were attracted to it! Now, Im no fisherman, but I personally saw a couple flounder caught in this manner. This appeared to be a common pra...

NEVER EVER use WD-40 to lubricate your trigger mechanism. WD-40 is not classed as a true lub, is has much higher cleaning properties. It also contains products that can harden in cold temperatures.......... Very interesting........Ive been using it on my gun and Xbow triggers for years. Would like ...

excal bows really arent that different in fps so maybe they are already at the limit for materials available today? As an engineer myself I cant think of any "limit" so long as you put enough energy behind the bolt. Of course, a mechanical device to pull the "limbs" back would b...

Sevcrist, I have been an advocate of single pin shooting for over 10 years now. I have missed deer when using the wrong pin on my compound.(Excitement numbs my brain) Just sight the single pin at the range that provides a kill zone shot and know the limit of your target. However, I use the Varizone ...
