Re: How Many Bolts
I don't care what animal you shot at ! Shoot an animal through the guts on purpose , with a non lethal arrow point ? ON PURPOSE ?!?! SICK !!! Agreed. Regardless of the animal there is no need to purposely inflict suffering. Shameful. Bob Yeah I don't think that's right either. Completely unnecessar...

Re: Evercalm
Tried lots of scents with mixed results. I've found most put the deer on alert if it isn't the rut. This year I'm using ozone so I smell like nothing. We'll see how that goes.

Re: Join the NY Crossbow Coalition!
These guys are making things happen. Senate Bill 6747 just passed the Senate yesterday. Tremendous accomplishment. This bill will allow the DEC to make the rules concerning crossbow use. The DEC is in favor of making crossbows legal during archery season, and for small game hunting. Now we need to w...

Re: New York Crossbow Coalition
I'm glad this NY Crossbow Coalition got started. Now we will have a voice to combat the NY Bowhunters, Anti Crossbow stance. Most of what NYB states about the crossbow is pure propoganda. Now we can let the legislators know the truth. The more members, the better our chances of pushing legislation t...

Sorry to see you go Griz. Your input will be missed. The fillet knife Wabi won was absolutely beautiful. It would be interesting to know who the culprits are.

Re: NY'ers can now use a DRAW LOCK???
Need to post this correction to my previous post stating only 33 modified archery permits in NY. I was wrong. Just spoke with the DEC and there have been about 1400+- modified archery permits issued since 2005. Wanted to clear this up. That's a lot of people who wish they could use a crossbow.

Re: NY'ers can now use a DRAW LOCK???
Very interesting Woody. Wasn't aware of this. Could you tell me the 5 manufacturers please? In NY this is the only option for disabled archery hunters (besides the breath tube crossbow for those who can't wiggle their fingers). I have used the draw loc for 6 years now, and find it dangerous. You hav...
