BOHICA
OK guys, our brilliant gov't spent over a billion on gun registry, and it got us nowhere, and now they are going to spend another billion to lock up ALL the legal guns? That will make it open season on all of us who had legally registered guns, and that would make it easier for all the guys with illegal...

SCOOBY GUY
Bob,first of all this guy would not sell to me in Canada, period, even though I had Paypal. So I had some friends in PA bid on one for me,which I won at a very good price, and after several weeks of delay,he could not deliver! I finally got my money back, along with a feeble excuse. He did not have any ...

Build It Yourself Meat Cooler
One thing that I forgot to mention is to hang all the quarters/sections of meat, after preparing them as I had outlined. Air drying the outer layer helps with the preservation too! Sure sounds like a great trip! Wish I was there with you! The conditions you expect to see will help age the meat well t...

Build It Yourself Meat Cooler
I would like to add some experiences that I have had trying to keep meat from going bad in warm conditions. One,skinning it out,and putting it in coolers with ice will almost guarantee spoilage. It will go green on you very quickly. After all kinds of experiences, our best luck was to leave the anima...

FINISHED STOCK & X BOW
Greywolf, could not help but notice the pair of Sims "S" coil stabilizers on that beautiful bow! How do you like them? I bought a pair with the same idea in mind,so I would appreciate any comments. I also bought one of Mark's laminated stocks, and plan to have that in place for this season. ...

Carbon activated garments/
Woody,IMHO,this article is as straight a shot as your best arrow! I have hunted deer for more than 50 years, and the only thing that works is being downwind,or above them,PERIOD! Mind you,if they don't see you,or smell you,the playing field starts to level a little bit! After all,we are in THEIR back...

Just a quick look at the FOC calculator shows that these charts will not work for arrows less than 23".
Most crossbow users will be under that length,so it will not do the calculation.
Does anyone have the formula to do this?
I believe that I did see it in an earlier posting.

FLETCHING ANGLES
I should have included this information,as it may have a bearing on your recommendations. I started out with Innerloc three bladed fixed blade broadheads. In comparison to target points,I get a substantial change in point of impact, with a bit more spread, out at 30 yards. This is where I think that a...

FLETCHING ANGLES
When I first bought my Exocet last year,it came with a bunch of bolts that I did not have any idea of the angle of the fletching. I was impressed with the accuracy of the shooting, but compared with what I was reading about the number of Robin Hood's being reported, felt that maybe I should have been ...

Changing nocks
Guys,if you do not know how to do it,you can file the ends flat quite easily.
Sure worked for me,as I had bought at least a dozen before I became aware of the Excalibur recommendation.
Not a problem after that!

Home made target
Ninepointer,I have one made exactly as you described. I made mine 6" deep,or thick, and roughly 4' square. The only words of caution that I offer is that you have to make sure that the bolts are tight enough to prevent full pass through, but not too tight that you can't get the arrows back out. I...

TARGETS
The best one that I have found for ease of pull is one made by Protektor,in Galeton,PA. It is a crosslinked PE outer bag, filled with pieces of leather.(this company makes leather sandbags for sighting guns) They sell for around $7 US,and can be found on ebay. The arrow just does not stick, and when y...
