Guys, this is the ultimate in bacon!
No comparison to side bacon whatsoever.
It comes from the loin of the pig,and is cured, processed meat.
And as already mentioned, less fat,as it is usually around the edges and can be trimmed off.
As they say-"try it,you'll like it!!
Bob.

NEW STS SYSTEM and a BOO STRING
Have not been that active for a while, and finally got around to installing a new STS system that I bought from one of the guys on this site, along with a Boo string that I had bought from Don some time back. I fired a few shots, and could not believe my ears!! This set up was on a Phoenix, and to do a ...

I left to go out of town on the day Digger passed away, and just got back to hear about this shocking news just now. Of all the guys on this forum,I had more dealings with Doug than anyone. One of the nicest guys you will ever meet and he will be sorely missed on this site. My sincerest sympathies to...

To do it legally, you will need to fill out a form ATF Form 6N1A(5330.3D)(Application/Permit for Temporary Importation of Firearms and Ammunition by Nonimmigrant Aliens)that lists all the guns and ammo you plan to bring, along with your Canadian Firearms registration and that has to be sent to the ATF...

Brass Inserts
My entry error on the brass stock that I used-it was 9/32",(.281")which is a loose fit inside a 2219 bolt.
Leaves a bit of room for either adhesive or hot melt.
My apologies.

BRASS INSERTS
If you want to experiment a bit,why not try short lengths of 3/8" threaded brass rod? That will fit inside a 2219 aluminum bolt just nicely and hot melt would be a perfect way to go. A 1/4" piece of this material weighs around 45-50 grains. If you have a small weigh scale, you can experimen...

If you are going to invest in one of these, make sure you get the HCx model. These are designed to work in heavy cover. I have a Legend, and wish I would have gone for the Vista,as the compass in that model works when you are standing still. With the others, you have to be moving at a minimum speed for...

I must have been one of the lucky guys! Got through on my first call this afternoon, and dialed again a bit later to get a controlled hunt application in. Only had one busy signal between the calls. Also was lucky enough to get a couple of DMAP tags for the area I hunt in PA,as non residents are out ...

I bought a 12 foot length of polyester camo material,4 feet high by 12 feet long, and set up four bamboo poles in a four foot square. Then I have velcro mounted to the camo at those four foor intervals, and I also put a knob of tape at the top of each pole so the camo does not slip down, and I can have...

Hey guys! We have been around the horn on this topic before on this site, and the true calculation is the old Pythagorean Theorem. The squaw sitting on the hippopatamus is equal to the sum of the two squaws sitting on the other two thighs! LOL! Seriously though,if one plants 20,30 and 40 yard markers...

Doug,I have not been keeping abreast of Ontario Turkey seasons, and was under the impression this was going to be the first fall hunt. I started hunting them this spring down in PA where they have both spring and fall seasons. You do not need to take any special training down there,as the tag is part...

FALL TURKEY
It looks like there will be fall turkey hunting in some WMU's this fall.
Anyone know whay they are not holding any turkey seminars in the remainder of the year?
How do you get qualified to hunt them if there arent any seminars?
