I'm pretty sure that you can't shoot red squirrells in Ontario unless you have a trappers licence as they are considered a fur-bearing animal. Only the blacks/greys are fair game during their open season, although I have been wrong before.

We don't think of it as an organ or guts, but as a muscle in our camp. The heart is always sliced in half from top to bottom, washed out and seasoned with steak spice, and cooked over an open fire, usually within an hour or 2 of being removed from the animal. Fresh deer heart,it aint just for breakfast....

My hunting partner picked up a rotary feeder from Cabelas while down at a race earlier this year, and we've had it out for 3 weeks now. We set it for 3-6 second feedings in the morning and 3-6 second feedings in the evening, all with a 1/2 hour delay between activations. The whole corn looks like it...

One other tip, (which I have not yet tried but read a while ago on this site) if you are having problems seeing/confirming that drops are really blood, a spray bottle with hydrogen peroxide when squirted on blood will foam up. I am for sure going to have a spray bottle available at the camp this yea...

New Excalibur dealer???
Just in the Canadian Tire here tonight in Kingston for some fishing stuff, they have a complete line of Excalibur crossbows and accessories for sale....wasn't too impressed with the markup myself though. Is this in all their stores across the province/country this week to fill up the turkey section?...

My 2 cents on this topic. NHL players are the best in the world at what they do and they should be paid accordingly, if the money is there. Look at other people who are at the top of their game, ball players(fb/bb/bb) actors/actresses, computer programmers, stockbrokers, lawyers, entepeneurs, the list ...

Which crossbow to order???Phoenix or Exocet 200
Hi Folks Did my taxes up today and I have 1 big problem.I'm leaning towards the Exocet 200, but am still undecided if the Phoenix is going to be enough bow for what I'm going to be using it for. I will be almost exclusively using it for deer, although the turkey season might find me hugging an oak t...
