Re: Discontinuing Models
Im glad to hear That Excalibur will have plenty of parts for My exocet 175. My Crossbow is in great shape so I wont upgrade untill theres a lower poundage Matrix, maybe a 200 lb at the most. ![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)

December Doe
Went hunting this morning with my 175 Exocet. It was 27 degrees. Thats cold here In Georgia Guys, Cold enough for me at least. I saw 13 Deer and finally got a shot at this nice Doe. The Slick Trick went thru her quick at 20 yards and I heard her crash about 75 yards away. My old Exocet will still do...

Re: VARIZONE QUESTION
This is in the FAQ SECTION. It is not referring to the speed ring. QUESTION While sighting in my crossbow using the vari-zone scope I have it hitting perfectly at 20 yards but its high on my 30, 40 and 50 yard indicators. I have the speed set as fast as it will go but it is still shooting high, what...

VARIZONE QUESTION
I had a little problem with my varizone this year. I checked it and it was hitting a couple inches high at 30 and 40. I had it dead on at 20. Moving the speed ring to a faster and faster setting did no good. It said under the FAQ section to decrease the elevation a couple clicks and it would not aff...

Re: Rumor
I would buy a 175 lb matrix. I don't have any desire for heavier poundage. 175 lbs is all I need for hunting

Re: Crossbow speed question (UPDATE)!
Well I solved the speed problem that had me shaking my head. Was thinking about it last night trying to figure out what in the world the problem could be when I realized that I hadn't shot my crossbow at 20 yards since I put he new limbs on. Went out early this morning and shot it off the bench at 2...

Re: Crossbow speed question
When I got my new limbs I also installed an S5 on my bow. Today I took it off just to see if it would make a difference and it didnt. I shot two arrows off the bench at 30 yards useing my 20 yard crosshairs. I measured the drop and it was 8 1/4 inches. I am shooting the same arrows as always. Gold t...

Re: Crossbow speed question
Yes Im sure about the advertised speed. My exocet at 175lbs was 310 fps with a 350 grain arrow. The phoenix is advertised at 305 but the power stroke is shorter so that why its a little slower.

Crossbow speed question (UPDATE)!
I have a 175 lb Exocet I bought in 2004. Just replaced the limbs on it because I dry fired it and cracked one. It seems to have lost some speed. It is listed to shoot 310 fps with a 350 grain arrow. I'm shooting a 410 Grain arrow so I figure it shoots about 295. I have a 8 or 9 inch drop at 30 yards...

Excalibur, great customer service
As I posted last Thursday I dry fired my bow and broke a limb. Called Excalibur that same day , Thursday. My new limbs came at lunchtime today. You just can't beat that kind of customer service. ![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)

Re: Limb color
I do know that the color wont affect anything but you know how it is guys, you kinda want your equipment to look good, or at least I do. I really dont have a choice it seems other than to buy a new crossbow. The only way I see myself buying a new one would be if Excalibur comes out with a compact li...

Re: Busted a limb !
Nope it split big time. It didnt break in half or anything like that, but it splintered half the thickness of the limb 3/4 up the limb. I was nervous about bending it enough to remove the string.
