Re: Hand Strap C2 Crank???
I recall reading here about someone making a longer handle. Better leverage might make control easier.
If it’s the decocking function that is your concern, why not just carry an old arrow with you, and fire it into a target or the ground when you are done shooting?

Re: Hand Strap C2 Crank???
I've never tried. The crank handle is sufficiently long that the average person shouldn't get overwhelmed when operating the crank. Anyway, the antireverse pawl positively locks the system. The only real risk would be while uncocking, and with the device mounted on the stock, foot in the stirrup, an...

Re: Off Grid Abitibi for end of Season Win
My previous truck had a Warne front bumper and 16 ton winch. I would have loved to transfer them to my present truck. Sadly, the bells and whistles (and sensors) on my current truck preclude any such practicality. So, my truck is now a sissy model. No heavy bumper, no winch. I sense that you are a p...

Congratulations to your Dad for a well executed hunt. You are learning from someone who knows what he is doing. Congratulations to your Dad also for raising a son who is mature beyond his years.

Re: Canning Venison ?
Where I was raised there were no no freezers, except in wintertime. No farmer would butcher an animal in the summertime, unless the family was ready to can (bottle) the meat. Whenever we poached a summertime deer, it got canned, and that was frequent Then we got Rural electrification, and everybody ...

Re: Erratic BH flight between bows
By all means confirm broadhead alignment, as Boo suggests. If broadhead alignment is not an issue, you may have a different problem. I suspect that no two bows have perfectly the same limb thrust or limb alignment to the frame. If one bow has a dominant left limb, you may tune it to shoot well on a ...

You said you blamed Fotd. Well, so do I. The thing is, he should have offered every inducement, every encouragement, for them all to return. Heck, not just forgiveness.
Too many of them took root here.

Re: Once in a lifetime weekend on Nip
I'm so glad to hear that the burbot wasn't wasted. Around here, there's a good (bad) chance it would simply be left on top of the ice as raven bait. There's a shameful, ignorant attitude about mariah, or freshwater cod, burbot, or whatever you want to call them. There's a lot of knife work to do the...

Re: What type of critter is this?????
I "horse traded" with a fellow who had lived in the Far North, and now have a Musk Ox horn mount, a Narwhal tusk, and Walrus head and tusk mount. I passed on the baculum. I thought it was probably too dangerous. I was single at the time, and I thought inexperienced ladies might just get sc...

With the amount of staining it looks like a fossil. Sabre tooth tigers had canine even more out of proportion looking, but maybe if the jaw was closed? That's my guess, anyway.

Re: C2 crank hook broke
Contact Munch and get his metal hooks. He no longer makes them. Well, son of a gun. This fall I busted a hook on my crank, while cocking my Suppressor. Luckily I had a couple of hooks from Munch that I had bought when I just thought they were a neat product, and before I actually needed them.
