Got a Max
Just purchased an Exomax yesterday. I want to shoot 2219's, five inch fletch. The Xbow is noticeably quieter with the heavier bolt and I think alot more forgiving on the stress factor of this beast. Just wanted to know if anybody has experimented with 100gr. and 125gr. points to find out what shoots...

Rail lube
I use the same as GaryL, Horton rail lube. I shoot 3D all summer and using this stuff, I can make a string last me the season.

Exomax speed
I was doing some testing the other day with an Exomax with different bolts and found that the 2219 with five inch fletch 125gr. point shot threw chrono at 318fps, also used the excellerant string. Not only did it cut down on the noise of this mean machine, but you wouldn't beleive the accuracy I was...

3D marked yardage shoots
Just wondering how many of you guys like the idea of shoots with marked yardages? Our next shoot down this way is in Picton (Crocked Arrow Club) The shoot is set up all marked yardages. I kind of dislike the idea, because it takes away the whole game of this sport. I do this to practice for hunting....

Turkey troubles
Well just got back from a week of turkey hunting holidays. Had a great week, no birds :( a few sighting, but found that they weren't responding to any calls and had no interest in decoys. Had eight birds seventy yards out in front of me at one time, three Toms, one jake and four hens had no interest...

Well of course bragging rights, but I was thinking some of the proceeds should go towards a trust fund for Red Labels children.

Forum rendezvous in Ontario
Hi Griz, we ( the Boundary Boyz) have a club, 150 to 200 acres where we hold are 3d shoots. Up, down shots, across ponds, treed and open areas, it's right on the shop premisses and there,s lots of room for camping. I'm sure if I asked Mark Alton ( shop owner) , he would have no problem with this. We...

Old Exocet
Hey fella's, a buddy of mine has an old Exocet and wants to get a little more speed out of her. I suggested that he try the Gold tips, but somebody told him he can't shoot them out of the older carved tip models. He's shooting 2117's, five inch feathers right now. There's got to be a lighter shaft h...

THe new Phoenix
SHOREhunter, were about's are you located? We have an archery shop in Sydenham, Ont. We carry all Excal models and would be happy in letting you try one. The Phoenix is a nice shooting Xbow, brought one in for my dad a few weeks back. Put it together and handed it to him, not even sighted in yet, to...

New Vixen here
I've had all the models except the Exomax, and wouldn't trade my Vixen for any of them. The Vixen is a sweet thing to shoot and in my opinion, the most accurate.
