I think Bass Pro has become like Wal Mart . In the area of sporting goods , they just get their seasonal order in and then no reorders .They just wait till the next season . Such as bow hunting stuff comes in , then when the shelves start to get bare they reset for muzzle loader season . Then after ...

I bought a Morrells Crossbow Target . Stops ANYTHING , field tip or broadheads. Only problem I have is removing the bolts(arrows) . It is a very dense material which makes it hard to pull them. Using a mixture of water and dish detergent will make it easier to pull bolts from target . Learned that f...

Actually you shake just as bad as with the 4x . You just don't notice it at lower magnification .

Only advise I have is concerning the case . I bought a padded case from Bass Pro Shop. My Phoenix with the Vari-Zone scope and quiver fit nicely . Size is just something you will learn to live with. This is my first xbow so I can't compare it to any other . All I DO know is that it is deadly accurat...

Limb Savers

LimbSavers or Thunderblocks ? . Where is optimum spot to put them ? I am using Sims LimbSavers now and have them mounted to the outer part of the limbs where the most vibration seems to occur. Now I am noticing that everyone has them placed closer to the riser . Think I have it backwards.

I guess my problem is that I am just now getting into the xbow thing. I was shooting a Bowtech using short , light arrows for speed and penetration. Now I am having to learn a new trick so to speak. What I am looking for is as flat shooting as possible without being loud. I know xbows are not the ea...

speed

Now that my new FFF string seems to have stopped stretching , it has settled in about mid way between the marks on the rail . I read on a recent thread that by untwisting the string to align it with the first line closest to the riser that it would give me more speed . Is this correct .

The dikes give us a road around the flooded areas and when the adjacent river is at high tide the the rabbits hide along the edges of the dikes which are built up about 6 to 10 ft. . almost like shooting ducks in a barrel  These are marsh rabbits but after a soaking in vinegar , or milk , the m...

rabbits

Ok , the xbow bug has bit. We hunt rabbits here after the duck season ends around some flooded areas surrounded by dikes maintained by the DNR . My question is this . How do you SLOW down a bolt , Also i guess a blunt would work better that a broadhead. Is there a new xbow in my future? Maybe the Vi...

Sumner4991 , I hope the guys at Excalibur pay attention . I think you have hit on THE improvement of the YEAR. You should market it , or at least get royalties from it . Quick , send in a drawing and apply for a patient.

I would LOVE to see how it is to start bow season without being drenched in sweat. It gives new meaning to "hunt the wind" . I will gladly trade places with one of you Canadian xbowers . Which also brings me to say this . I will be glad when the "South" gets on the band wagon wit...

Yes you can use the faster string for hunting and yes you can use the crankaroo on ANY Excalibur xbow.
