Re: Groundpounder Mounts - end of an era

You had a great idea and turned it into a quality product. It really turned my Exocet into a better Hunting weapon. Best of luck to you, and thanks again.

Thanks for the advice on the dacron string. It was an inch or so past the line on my rail. Is that safe to cock and shoot that far past the line. The way my day was going I thought I better not push it. Thanks again for your help. Tom

Bad Day

Did you ever have one of those days. Went out this morning to make sure my Exocet was dead on for next weeks hunt on the Missouri Iowa line. I noticed that my string looked like it had a very small nick in it. I figured that I wouldn't take a chance so I started to change it out and see If I could g...

Excalibur Strikes Again

It was six short years ago I bought my Exocet 175# on the advice of the guys here on the forum. I've learned so much from reading and asking questions here. I've been lucky enough to take a deer each and every year with my Excalibur. I've been after this fellow since I saw him while scouting and han...

Deer steaks agian

I haven't written for a while. Just wanted to let everyone know that my Exocet did it's job again this year. I took a nice fat doe on the Missouri, Iowa border on Monday morning. I took her at 15 yds. double lung with a 125 gr. Wasp and Easton aluminum shafts. She only went 25 yd. I took a doe there...

Excalibur Scores Again

I haven't been on the site in awhile even though I read it daily. I just got back from my first real hunt this Fall. The Exocet did it's job as always. A small 6pt. ran a big fat doe right up to my stand yesterday morning. I sent my 125 gr. Wasp thru both lungs at 15 yds. She ran 50 yd. and it was o...

Scouting

Hello to everyone, It's been a while even though I check the site everyday. I guess I've got the fever because It's 94 outside and I spent six hours scouting a new area this morning. My GPS says I covered close to 10 miles this morning. I didn't see any Bucks, but I counted four does with fawns. A c...

Just wanted to drop a short note thanking groundpounder for all his help with ordering his Mount. It arrived today, and it's everything I was hoping for. Thanks again Tom

My condolences to you and your family. The lose of a family member is very hard. It's taken a few years, but I can now look back at all the wonderfull times spent with my parents and smile. Best Wishes
