Re: Can't count to 5!
Actually it would still score a 5, as from the rules if 2 arrows are in the same target only the lowest arrow will be scored assuming he shot at all five targets he would still score a 25 even with shooting 6 arrows since only the 5 lowest scoring arrows are scored ( I think the NFAA has some variat...

Re: Shoot for the Cure
I spoke with Gilles last year on some way to include them, I have been shooting indoors with my x-bow for a few years now and had no trouble making the time limit shoot ing my Parker Cyclone. Spoke to brad as well to put the word out and get some x-bow action inside. Don't need a special indoor set ...

I got a hold of Excal today and was told that the last shippment has given them alot of problems wth all the returns they have been getting, so I will return it to them for one more try. They told me that they have a shaker that they will use to test all scopes before they are sent out from the next...

I am sure a replacement isn't a problem but I certainly am not doing this every week, they must have some way of finding a good one. I talked to a guy on another forum and he says they are haveing a 20% failure rate on these, if true I would think a full recall would be warrented. 4 in 3 weeks is a...

The modifications I did to many were not anything that to intensive. I just saw a wear point that could easily be taken out. With the claw down latch the claw actually lifts the string off the deck before it slides off. What I did was angle the latch forward and polish it. The Excal trigger is very ...

I wasn't expecting it to last this long as well, it has worn the anodization of the deck before the serving started showing any wear. I shoot a few Fita's each week with it. I am looking to see what the Legacy will show. I am going to see how long I can get it to last. Taking the Excal trigger apart...

I have a very full understanding of how a crossbow works, having owned several including Excals. The pressure applied to the string serving by a recurve design is what it is but the latch design plays a much higher role. On the Excals I had I simply took the trigger apart and angled and polished the ...

Finally got the camera working, and figured out how to put a picture on this site-so an hour later and here's the pictures. This serving is after 1300 shots as of today. http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/ff140/SeanMcKenty/16470002_1.jpg http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/ff140/SeanMcKenty/16470001_...

The serving thread was at .030 on the stock string,I just replaced it with .026 crown with no string size issues at all so I never saw it as any sort of problem. The trigger gate design will play a roll but that is a platform issue, alittle polishing and angling will fix that. I started logging my sh...

Anyplace that sell archery target gear should have or be able to get it, Lancaster will definatly have it. It is really slick stuff so you will need to serve with an over lap to lock to top end to the bottom end. I am going to run a dry test to see how long it will last that way as well. My string h...
