Re: OT - Sad News

Absolutely devastating news Wabi. Can’t imagine the pain in your heart as well as your families. Stay strong, keep your faith and lean on your family as they will need you to lean on as well. Take care.

Re: Excalibur TwinStrike Crossbow

I have been a bow hunter since 1974. Have seen many changes since then. We went from recurve bows to compound bows to crossbows to air bows. We went from cedar arrows to fiberglass to aluminum to carbon fiber. We went from a three finger release to mechanical releases, went from two blade broad head...

Re: when do we find out who the winner is

Am I missing something? I have seen pics and videos of the assassin and I can not detect that it has a moving trigger box. Is this true?

Re: Length of Excalibur ownership?

I have owned Excalibur's for 25 years. Have owned 5 different models and fired many more. In my opinion the Matrix 380 is the best I have ever had. I will always own an Excalibur until my hunting days are done.

Re: Leupold Rifleman Scope Rings

I have used them on my vortex for 4 years and have them on my 380 matrix without issue. They are clean looking rings without that hideous thumb screw. Put them on and "forget about it."

Re: Danny Miller at Horizontal Archery needs prayers

I have known Danny since 1985 when we shot competition together and he is one of the finest people you will ever meet. I will pray for his quick recovery as I hope all of you will do the same. Hopefully God does'nt need him quite yet. Get well Danny, we are all pulling for you.

Sounds like a real good deal. Quad is 5 years old and only 650 miles on it. I have owned Yamahas for 8 years now and love them. Never had a problem. Bought a 2008 Grizzly 660 in July and what a quad. The independant suspension is unbelievable. Lots of power. Warning though. The 660 seems to use quit...

Aluminum for me. Been shooting 20" 2216 with 100 grain Wasp. Killed my 30th deer this year with a crossbow and have had only one aluminum break in a deer. It was a 2117 about 12 years ago. Can't justify the extra expense. "If it ain't broke don't try to fix it and cause more problems."

Got me a Cabala's commercial Dehydrator. What a dehydrator! Recieved some Gander Mountain & Cabelas gift cards. Also the usual clothes and socks and a new hang up shop vac for my new butcher shop I built this year.

Crossbow Close

Went home sick as all out yesterday and seen that my new Petersens hunting mag came and what do you know, a story about Bills elephant hunt entitled "Crossbow Close". Was to sick to read it yesterday but I will give er a read when I get home. I just hope that this is only the begining and ...

Use the disposable shoulder length gloves. Not so worried about contamination or diseases, just keeps my hunting clothes blood free.

I wouldn't give much thought to that story OwnerITO. Could it happen? Yes. Almost everthing is possible. Your biggest concern as stated earlier is cutting yourself with your knife when field dressing your deer. That is how most hunters SEVERELY cut themselves. As far as the Wasp broadheads go I only...

I think at one time or another a lot of us hunters were trophy hunters. When this trophy bug or shooter buck thing hit it made a lot of hunters feel "unworthy" or a "bad hunter" if you didn't kill a book buck. I was bitten with this bug in 1988. I decided from then on out I would...

Just traded in a 2000 Big Bear 400 for a 2008 Grizzly 660. I pick it up this Thursday. Never had a problem with the Yamaha so I decided to stay with them.
