First crossbow kill

Yesterday, opening archery season in VA, I took my first crossbow deer ever on my first crossbow hunt!!!!! Only a 4 pter, but weighed 128 lbs, so pretty good size for VA. A total of at least 7 deer can into by pea - food plot. Saw a doe at 7:30am. 2pm a pair of bucks (I got the largest), and at 5:45...

It may be hot tomorrow - but by 6:15am, I for one will be in my tree stand overlooking a half an acre of planted peas. Deer are really working on them. Congrats - thats better than any buck I have ever seen.

I am 58 and still waiting for my two daughters to produce. I would gladly miss some hunting time!!!

Thanks for all the comments on the Spitfires.

I may just go with the 100 grain Mag. Slick Trick. I KNOW THEY WILL BE OPEN ON IMPACT. So why take a chance??? The ones I have just seem too hard to open and appear to "lock" in the close position.
