Seeing Deer move again

Well it has been over week since our Firearms season has ended. During the first few days of the gun season, deer were still moving, but then by the 2nd week, they went nocturnal. I saw 7 does out in the field today at around 4:30pm, which is this herds normal time prior to the gun season. Seems the...

These are decent honest landowners I'm talking about and not opportunists. Are you saying farmers and landowners who do lease the hunting rights to their property are opportunists and not decent and honest? Hunting leases are big business here on Maryland's Eastern shore, and really the only way to...

Just to "stir the pot" :o) What about deer shot over bait (corn etc) which is legal in many states? Or food plots which is, I think, legal in most? These are usually just "shooting" (rather than hunting) from a semi permanent, comfortable, platform seat, where the "hunter&qu...

Let me ask a ?. I am not trying to piss anyone off. What is the definition of a hunter? Are you only a hunter if you hunt public land and free range animals? Are you not a hunter if you pay to hunt a trophy managed ranch? What about if you pay to go to Canada with an outfitter where chances of scori...

I have no problems shooting carbons witth my Combound bow. But when I use my Exomax, I can't use 3D targets, for the reasons in my earlier post. I found the Block target works great, no pass throughs and no stuck arrows.....

Use some type of lubrication! Carbons create so much friction when they hit the target it actually melts the material and fuses to the arrow.....

Same in Maryland, 1 week left in our firearms season, and then archery until the end of January. I am hunting private land but so are all the farms around me. Can't take a step without seeing deer sign but it is all happening at night. I can't wait for the late archery season and cold weather. We ha...

I just found a new rub line on the backside of a property I hunt. It hasn't been hunted all season and with our gun season in, it is a perfect sanctuary from all the bangs!

I plan on hunting it Friday, with my Exomax...........

Now that the American elections are over, you are going to see more stories like this. Since these folks failed to save the world from Bush, they now must try to save the chickens from KFC. I wish these people would put half as much energy into taking care of themselves, as they put into trying to t...

It is illegal to carry a handgun while deer hunting here in the People's Republic of Maryland. But after reading this story, and knowing how people tresspass around here, I will be hunting the Firearms opener with Mr. Smith and Wesson with me.

I'd rather be tried by twelve than carried by six.

Sounds suspect to me. Sounds like this guy wasn't a deer hunter, but was still looking for a "kill" if you catch my drift.
