Too much FOC will cause premature drop (increased trajectory) but groups will remain tighter in a high crosswind. Same as there are no magic arrow...

Hi J:

Thanks, Wayne

Interesting point. I had thought about that concept of the chest having to fill up first but in actuality there just was not that much in the chest cavity. Seems to make sense though.

Thanks for the responses. Wayne

New Brass Inserts for GT L2s - better?

Just curious - it seems like all you can get from places now is the GT L2 bolts with the brass inserts. I had been told that the guys that make up the arrows don't use aluminum inserts anymore. What has been your experience comparing the aluminum to the brass inserts? Do you find it better? My exper...

Successful Hunt - Exciting New Experience

Just got back from a 3 day hunt in Northern Pa. Took a nice doe out of the Doghouse Ground Blind from Ameristep. Never used a ground blind before. Was able to set up a chair (collapsible type for the lawn) and sit back and relax. Plenty of room for the Excalibur. Had many deer come by and never knew...

Often, one looks at a bottle of bleach and wonders, 'Why shouldn't this be mixed with ammonia?' This entry will tell of a few reactions that can occur when bleach and ammonia are mixed in various proportions - the release of chlorine gas is just one of these. In the following sections, the header wi...

I agree with you. I just really wanted to warn the other members on this forum not to buy from them. For me it is over and done with.

Thanks for your concern. Wayne

Not exactly sure what you mean but just don't deliberately spray the vanes and back part, especially if you are thinking about re-fletching later I would think. Otherwise I never had any problems.

I use Silicone Spray that you get at any hardware store and spray down my bolts (from tip to base of vanes) and it really helps making removal easy. I did this from my bowhunting days. Don't spray the vanes or the back part of the bolt after the vanes or you will have trouble gripping the bolt for r...
