Like most bucks, he needs to recover from the rut. They run themselves ragged matting and all need some food to put the weight back on. That is why some die, they think more of matting than of eating during this time of year. I harvested a buck november 14th that had next to no fat on it. Oneshot......

I offer to help around the farm! Only twice in 6 years did they ask for it; but when I was needed it was well appreciated. A hired man did the no show and he was on the spot. I learned how to operate a grain dryer and how boring emptying grain form trucks is. LOL One showed up every 45 minutes from ...

Funeral for a "FRIEND"

It is with a heavy heart I must say that my best friend Jesie Jane "MY" prized Chocolate Labrador needed to be put down today!! I delayed it as long as I could; but in the end she had to go. The vet informed me of her cancer months ago; but I could not face it. In the end I knew in my hear...

Yes they do work!

I called in a 6 point buck Oct. 29th 6:30 pm with the "Can".

It was headed in the opposite direction and did a 360 turnabout and was 40 away when I released a bolt from my Exomag.

It ran another 20 yards and the rest is history!

I built a cart out of an old lawn chair and two 20 inch bicycle wheels. It is really handy for getting the deer out of the field or bush. Before that I used a fridge cart and bungee cords to hold the deer on from walmart which cost about $30. I will post a picture; but the cart is in my trailer wher...

Butler Creek!

I use them on All my hunting tools.

They keep your scope dry when it rains and clear and clean; ready for the moment of truth!

Hunting downwind is the secret!

It does not matter if you are up or down.

But I prefer up!

A ladder stander is easily placed in a good area and will allow you to see deer before they see you.

That is the secret!

Then you can choose to pass or take them!

Most deer I have taken were from the same stand day after day.

They don't seem to be bothered by thier own blood trails at all.

Same as the others say; they aren't afraid to step over a fallin friend to get to where they want to go.

Isn't it odd?

But I won't complain!
