Re: Few days left.

No geese this year John, Too much school and work. The only time available was for deer. I even had to turn RJ down on quick goose hunt call. I would have enjoyed the shoot. By the way I bought a couple of Game Sleds. (Not Dead Sleds as I tried them and they broke apart on the first time I used them...

Few days left.

Sorry I have not been around any. I have hunted 23 days this season. Usually just a few hours at the end of the day as school and work are taking huge amount of time. I have seen lots of deer, 4 shooters ( 8 points or better). While hunting with my partner, I have taken 3 this year. My first blood a...

Bill's accessory

I was watching a tv show with Bill suing his 25 anniversary crossbow to take an Asian Buffalo in Florida. The thing that was interesting was there was binocular range finder (I think) mounted over the scope. My questions are: 1.) Who makes them? 2.) Where do we get one? 3.) Where do we get the mount...

John, Thanks for the encouragement. Time is too short and I have had folks coming in from Japan. They really like the place on Simcoe. Had one in during end of Aug another coming in end of Sept and the first one coming back end of November. I told them come as much as you like but I will not be here...

Thanks Chris, I have been hunting more deer than geese. I took over 30 geese last year so the freezer was full. This year I can shoot them of my deck so it is too easy. I was out Kayaking on Simcoe's west shore and there are large flocks of local honkers. In the two hours in the kayak I covered quit...

The weather is too warm and the water is the same. Weed production for forage has not slowed down yet so the geese feel little need to go to the grain fields. The grain is desert at this point. I hear some snow are down from Hudson but not the honkers. Anybody gong to Eastern Ontario this year?

Incredible. I hope you have a sturdy trailer. When I was in university I lived in places smaller than that. You could hook up the satellite TV and put it on mute. All th e comforts of home.

Thank you all for the suggestions and support. I wrote a hot e-mail to the company and they refunded me $20 bucks. To make it even more irriataing I paid by Credit card and it is Pay Pal that is sending all the information regarding shipping costs. Time will tell if C - R Camo is still sending via U...

Sucker Punched

I just ordered a new camo jacket, Standing corn, from C-R Camo. It is anb unlined jacket and a little high priced at $40.00 US. But what to heck I will get good use out of it with deer and goose hunting. It was to be shipped by post office and arrive in 10 -15 days. Cost about $10. I then received m...

I have shot 3 balded Rage and had excellent success on the first outing as it did some awesome damage to the deer (posted on this forum). The second time I used them I got a premature opening and a sever turn to the left. That was the last time I used rage. I went back to the Spit fire 125 as it is ...

I went yesterday and spent 6 hours there. I think if you go to a show like this and have nothing else to do you will come away disappointed. However, I had 4 things I wanted to find and accomplished all 4. The workshop on moose calling was great, Cam did a good job Whitetail hunting tips, Bill needs...

Therapy for John

Hey John, since you R.J. and I are hooked on Late Winter hunts for geese. I found something yesterday at the Toronto Sportsman Show that is just unusual enough to suit our needs. I have found one good outfitter in Northern Manitoba who will do a Spring Snow Goose hunt for us. We are allowed a posses...

Just returned from out East. Looks good for Dec of 2008 for us in either QC or eastern ON. John I PMed you on two possible locations. You and R.J. decide which you want to do and I'll set it up. Man I hope my farmer plants corn this summer. We will have some awesome shooting in Dec and Feb 09 if he ...
