An older deerhide brown 175 mag tip was my first new Excal. and served me well. It's still here along with a few other Excal's.

I like solo. I do go with a friend who has heart trouble when he wants to go.

Once ya ge up there in years It's probably smarter to hunt with a buddy.

Mike. be careful, as I had what I'd thought to be the flu. Finally after a few weeks went to the Doc. had chest xrays and it was Bronchitis.

I missed the 2 opening weeks here in Ohio.

feeling better now after the Z pack thing, lungs are coming around.

I've hunted the past 3 years with a Vixen. And I do have Exomax on down to hunt with.

I've hunted with the newer short draw Deerhide brown Vixen since they first came out.

theres about 3 I've seen taken during shotgun season that are nice here. I think numbers are down this year for gun season. I regret passing on 2 nice 8's waiting for a big 10 I have on trail cam. I am old and should no better by now :wink: Maybe this years tag won't be filled, I kinda got caught up...

crossbow are something like working up new loads in a rifle. Once you have them your pretty much set. I dug out an old EMag and tried some 21in. gold tips with mini blazers and 125gr. Rocket steel heads. Pretty decent off the bench.
