can they be adapted if you only have a metal stud ? I would not try to adapt the X-tender to fit an old stock. Would be alot of more work than making one from scratch. They are also made of plastic, so I guess the adapting would make it alot weaker. But now I have seen the design. Now I'll make one...

I would vote for using google. In the normal search bar, type for example 10 $ in CAD and you get your answer. The google calculator can convert alot of things. like 1 inch in meter , and alot of other units. You can also toy around with things like: number of horns on a unicorn + the answer to life...

I think Avatars are good. As already stated, it is a fast way to identify who has made the post. If people just think once before they add their avatar, there should be no problems.
