I have started a new job, so I have been pretty busy. I purchased this Alpha Cross from Ye Old Archery and finally was able to machine some holes in the base for mounting. Anyway, here is a picture of the sight: http://jimmace.com/images/AlphaCross.jpg I am not sure when, but I hope to put some bolt...

Sight received

I received my rear sight on Saturday, and I should be getting my holes drilled and tapped by this weekend. I will post images when I get everything set up. By the way, can someone send me the vertical distance of how far the factory front sight's 20 yard "pin" sits above the base where it ...

Thanks everyone for the replies, you guys are the best. I am no longer in need of one. I will post pictures of what my bow looks like when I get everything fixed up. I was able to track down a Trophy Ridge crossbow sight. Now I just need to fashion an adapter to make it fit the Excalibur hole pattern.

Rear Aperture Sight Needed...

Does anyone have a factory rear sight laying around that they would like to have taken off their hands? My state does not allow me to use a scope for hunting :-( when using primitive weapons, and I cannot find my rear sight for the life of me. You can PM or e-mail me at: jim *at-sign* jimmace.com Th...

Front sight hole spacing

Does anyone know, or can someone measure, how far the front sight bracket holes are spaced at on center and the size of the holes? I would measure this myself, but since I am disabled I cannot operate a dial caliper... :-(

Open Sights...

Earlier this spring I know that we had a lengthy discussion on open sights. In the state of Washington, if you're going to use archery for big game season you cannot use any electrical or any other optical sights. I was just wondering if those who use open sights can post some images of their crossb...

Finally...

Well guys, it finally happened, I was able to shoot my first deer this last weekend although it was done with a black powder rifle instead of my crossbow. If you're so inclined to read about the hunt, just follow this link (http://jimmace.com/main/default.aspx?p=outdoors).

This is going to sound like a pain in the kazoo, especially from a rest, but after your scope is hitting for you want either shoot one arrow at a time or shoot at different spots on your target. Believe it or not, but "Robin Hooding" is a true phenomenon with an Excalibur, and carbon bolts...

ComfyBear's comment reminds me of a quote from Star Wars, "Who is more the fool, the fool of the fool who follows them..." I have a big problem with the Humane Society and their anti hunting antics. I'm not sure how popular this comment is going to be, but I think they are trying to divert...

I just got my Excalibur in February, and Washington does not have a spring turkey season and I have never hunted turkey so I am shooting from the hip here. Anyway, if you could get the arrow to not pass through and used a lighted moon nock like the Archers Flame I would think that that would definit...

I had the same problem. What I ended up doing was clicking the link and when the error box popped up, I closed it and clicked the link again. Sometimes, had to do this about ten times. I hope this helps... More than likely, the problem is is that the link points directly to the file instead of havin...

They say that they last about 40 hours. I have not tested them to see how long they actually last. As for what holds them in place, you take a toothpick and with blue on the inside of the shaft, place two of the supplied dowels down the shaft as stoppers. They fit in the shaft rather snugly, however.

We put a couple in my brothers vertical, and they flew well. Personally, the only thing I am not quite a fan of is the fact that you have to take them out to turn them on and off. Really, it is not such a big deal, I suppose.
