friend of mine had a cow tag a couple of years ago and thought he filled it. until he walked up a noticed it was a young bull, that had shed his rack early,called m.n.r and they came and checked it out and gave him no problems.

I guess you guys are right,i will keep my opinions off this forum regarding these issues,i have just had to many negative experiences up where i moose hunt north of wawa,and it is frustrating to be discriminated against.

What do you expect there are probably five million hunters in a state the size of manitoulin island!

go with the best all around (30/06),when you are shooting at game,you wont even notice a recoil.

they also hunt moose near my hunt camp in moose management areas with high powered rifles,while i use a crossbow.

what will they do if a indian shoots one,nothing?

i did moose meat this year,cut into small pieces add 1 teaspoon of salt,1 teaspoon margarine or butter and about 10-12 peapercorns and put down in pressure cooker for 90 min
