Great buck. I would suggest hunting closer to his bedding area. I think you would be hard pressed to have mature bucks coming out in the open before dark once they switch from their summer feed. Anything can happen during the rut but consistantly he should stay in the woods until dark. Good Luck.

I have zero problem with anyone taking ANY deer they want. If you live were 200 inchers just aren't possible, if your pressed for time or can't afford to pass on a deer, thats fine. I glad to have any fellow hunter legally pursuing the greatest game animal in the world; everyone's welcome. The probl...

I agree with you completely, huntman. Anyone would be foolish to pass a buck like that, but maybe that's what it takes harvest world class whitetail. I have never had to pass up a deer that size that age. I'm not entirely sure I could, but I hope I would.

True but that doesn't look like very good whitetail habitat.

A wiser man than myself once told me that land is always a good investment because it's the one thing you can't make more of.

one more year, just one. You gotta be kidding!!! :!: :?: not really huntman. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't criticize anyone for taking this buck but like Mike P said, his is still immature. Look at this buck's belly, dosen't sag at all (granted he is a little streched out). Look at the antler mass...

I had to pass up hunting where Muskingum, Coshocton, and Guersey meet this morning because my shoulder is hurting. Lots of deer in that area.

Been slow here too. Bucks have been moving mostly at night. Im betting they are just feeding in corn fields during the day.
